Yeah, when we took Bastian they said something along the lines of "don't bother coming back, the shop is now closed"
Yeh big Ed has more chance of picking up sticks with his butt cheeks than signing from them again any time soon. Could you imagine the bayern fans if they sold muller. There would be fcking murders lol

A new contract with lazio? hope he's not going anywhere, think we're all agreed he's by far our best defensive prospect
Haha. But I wouldn;t be surprised - Rodgers has never been a fan of him for whatever reason. And I wouldn't be surprised if Lovren starts over him. Anyone who can actually defend is a threat to Rodgers for some reason i.e. Agger, Sakho, Manquillo.
If we plan on playing Benteke as a lone striker and feeding him with crosses, then I presume the width will come from fullbacks since Couts and Firm are more central, and don;t cross. If this is the case, Moreno and Clyne are ideal however it poses two issues: 1) Injuries - if either are injured, we have no back ups who can attack as well. We have Wisdom, etc but they're not natural attacking full backs so we will lose that threat. 2) With having aggressive full backs, we need a midfield, more importantly a DM who can drop back and protect the defence and cover the space. Can can develop there but I'm not sure he's ready just yet. If this isn't addressed, we will be exposed and there is a fear we could concede another 50 goals this season.
my problem with Benteke is whether he is the kind of striker that can score the goal Ings scored yesterday. Ie, can he run on to through balls and round a keeper? Is that in his nature? It's how we play, and with Firm and Coutinho, they'll be threading through balls all day long
I reckon he can. I want to know if any of our manc friend know what van Gaal is boasting about? He's like a child with a secret bursting to tell but wants to tease with it. I bet he's got big dunc Ferguson out of retirement as rooney says he loves him
