Mbemba is one of the fastest players in the Belgian League. He's also an absolute beast in the air. Tackling is quality and his positioning fantastic. Regarded as the best defender to come out of Belgium since Kompany.

I cant find it, but theres a vine of a player in the belgium league being put through on goal, and he is supposidely the quickest attacker in the league, mbemba just eats up the ground and flies in with the most perfectly timed challenge. Alot of Anderlect fans are absolutely gutted his leaving, especially to us as they think he could play for most of the top teams in europe!

Newcastle United have agreed a £6.9million deal to sign defender Chancel Mbemba, according to reports.
The Magpies, who have already agreed terms to sign Mbemba’s Anderlecht teammate Aleksandar Mitrovic, held talks with the centre back over the weekend.
And now Belgian outlet Het Nieuwsblad says the deal is all but done, with Newcastle agreeing to pay £6.9m for the player.
Mbemba is now set to travel to England for a medical before putting pen to paper on a contract.
A fast and committed central defender, Mbemba has previously been linked with Arsenal and Atletico Madrid and is seen as a quality addition for Steve McClaren as he builds a new-look Newcastle team.

He's on his way over according to reports in Belgium. Trust me, this guy is an absolute monster and will be loved.

 

The First question we should ask is "Is Mbemba Mike Williamson" the answer is no, therefore he is a massive signing! Just the relief of not having to watch Williamson on a Saturday afternoon should be more than enough, but we get the added bonus of actually seeing someone who is really f ing good!

 

I seriously hope we pull this one off, get it over the line, though the door, the window the keyhole....whatever.

I've read only good things about this fella and everything I've read indicates that he is an absolute beast, takes no ****, fast as fook and at 6.9m an absolute steal. I'm slightly nervous that city, United or Chelski don't come calling at the 11th hour, but he maybe great mates with mitrovic so he might wanna join up with him.

Now all we need is Charlie Austin. Wiji, Mbemba, mitrovic and Austin all for a similar fee to what the bin dippers have just paid for Benteke. That's just ****ing dreamy dreamy homestyle

 

Mitrovic and Mbemba are good mates apparently. The fee has been agreed and he is on his way over apparently. At £6.7 million we are committing daylight robbery with this one. The guy is worth at least twice that. His pace is understated; he's not just fast. His pace is actually frightening for a big guy. He also likes to put a tackle in. One thing about him that really ticks the boxes for me is his commitment. The guy lives and breathes derby matches. You just need to find highlights of him in Anderlecht's games v Bruges or Standard to see that. He also organizes other players around him brilliantly. He speaks fluent French and I believe a little English and Dutch [I can't confirm that though.]

He is strong and his leap off the ground for such a big guy is ridiculous. He will be a handful at set pieces.

 

Basically everything I have heard about this guy sounds brilliant. I'll be real happy if we get him. I know everyone looks good on youtube but looks cracking in this vid. At both ends too!
