After several seasons of injuries and niggling set backs, it finally looks like these two are fit and on form again. So the question is who gets the nod for the starting place as RWF ? Or would Ox be better played in the middle ? and can Walcott be successfully used as a CF ? On a side note, here's the Ox taking the piss when asked 'Which former Arsenal legend would you bring back to play in the team now?' http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/if-...icules-former-teammate-bendtner-10399967.html
I'd imagine that (unless we sign anyone!) that it'll be a rotation on a game by game basis, as Walcott will rotate with Giroud as well, while the Ox may even start on the left at the start of the season in the absence of Alexis!
Spot on, Walcott and OXO offer different options to the team and can be played in a range of different roles. But Walcott offers us a viable Plan B, a proper old school counter-attacking threat that was reminiscent of a Wenger team of the past. Walcott has a place as our CF but the environment has to be altered to cater for this. In my opinion we certainly have the players and creativity to support this. You could play a front three of OXO, Walcott and Sanchez in a counter-attacking formation, with Ozil right behind. As it goes, its horses for courses and we have enough attacking threat to pull it off.
I must say I'm looking forward to eventually seeing a Sanchez, Giroud, Walcott front 3 with Ozil and Santi behind playing people in. All 3 will interchange, there's a huge amount of pace, with Giroud's physicality tying up CBs and holding the ball up/playing in the other two and Ramsey making late runs into the box. We can then play Oxo when required as well.
Have you just bought this Waclott? Is he any good? A87 has previous for this - nothing on google about an injury? Only thing on Oxlade-Chamberlain in the papaers is this http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/row-zed/arsenals-alex-oxlade-chamberlain-again-proved-6097621
Cheers, half of me thought it might have been Arsenal87 joking, but it was very deadpan so got me a little worried as well!
Our RW options are imense alot of people forget about gnabry who I believe will be a better player then ox and theo
I agree that Gnarby is going to be great (if he keeps developing like he is) but it's a big call to say he will be better than the Ox and Theo. I wouldn't be surprised if Gnarby moves infield once developed. Apparently West Brom want to loan him for a season, which would be good.
