IMHO I think the Allams are leaving. I dunno how but they'll get out the money they put in and sell it to whoever they can and go.
I wouldn't be shocked if it came out that Allam's had more than just the name change to think about on their boat.
Time for bed OLM, I've risen at the unearthly hour of 8.30am and it is now gone midnight in the old dart. Have a nice nights kip.
I did, but that wasn't what I was looking for and I replied to that when Charon (quite rightly) pointed it out earlier in this thread. I found a fair few articles that just discussed the club and his involvement in a pretty factual way with no demonizing. What I was looking for when those links popped up was articles on good chairmen as that's what was being discussed, but they were almost nonexistent . I posted those to show that other clubs and the world of football perhaps don't see us as being as badly off as they themselves are. For me, the lesson should be to stop whining and trying to create this poor hard done to mentality and to get on with dealing with the actual issues rather than the personalities and not behaving in a way that seems to replicate the very criticisms levelled at the Allams. I believe that could be helped by a more open debate involving fans. At the minute, the 'discussions' seem limited to pointless pissing contests, personal abuse, 'poor me' and 'ooh, isn't he awful' instead of looking at ways of dealing with the situation.
The theory behind being a YoYo club is that you go up, spend very little, get relegated with a healthy bank balance & then challenge for promotion again We don't meet that idea as we spent a fortune & almost doubled our debt, going down in a worse financial state than before
