Confirmed a 2 year deal on WO. I have a friend who is a ST holder at Dundee Utd and he said he is ok, nothing special. But he is still young I believe so has time to improve. Personally I am happy with the last 2 days.

Not particularly encouraged by what I've heard. Then again, we heard great things about the likes of Ellington, Sadler and Drinkwater, so I guess you never know. I would never, ever stand in the way of one of our lads playing international football, but if he does turn out to be decent, the Africa Cup of Nations is a headache we could do without. It's being played in 2012 AND 2013. Couple that with international games every summer, and we will surely have to give him some rest during each season.
Well the guy has scored against the best team in the world! That must make him one of the best players in the world, surely? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jvLjRZSDMR8&feature=related
Hi all, been on holiday so its a while since I've posted, with this being our fourth experienced signing in just over a week, things are certainly coming together for the new season and i am feeling a little more optimistic. Mirfin and Yeates have championship experience and I've heard lots of positive things about Bauben from Dundee United, who are the by far and away the third best team in Scotland. We're still a bit short in a number of places, including at left-back and we need a couple of strikers, but the squad is starting to come together.
I understand he has been sub once for them and never got on. I wouldn't worry too much about the African Cup. And even if it did happen, at least we only have one player and not 4/5 like other teams.
If he is called up for the African CoN, then hopefully that means he is performing well for us. I know we are still reasonably thin on the ground, but come early 2012, I think we'd hope we have McGinn coming back into the team, so the loss won't be quite so hard. I expect he will come here trying to prove himself - maybe with the CoN as a goal, or as so many other players, a move to the Premiership. This is the sort of signing I like rather than the ones who think they already have proved themselves, so coming in with a bit of arrogance and thinking they are bigger than the team!
Seems to have been welcomed very well on Twitter.... pbuaben prince buaben Thanks Every 1 We Gonna Have Amazing Season God Bless Us
On the WFC pages there is a clip of him being interviewed and him doing his goal celebration called the "Dougie" (it won't let me download it, so if you have a minute it is worth a watch"
Genuinely pleased by our signings so far. It reminds me of Boothroyd's first summer here: plenty of disquiet off the field and notable departures, then a steady stream of unheralded arrivals. A centre back (Mirfin) is welcome competition for a side which has leaked goals in recent years; a wide player (Yeates) was a necessity after losing Buckley and Cowie, and it can't hurt that he's a dead ball specialist; and another body in central midfield (Buaben) can only be a good thing, what with Cowie gone and McGinn injured. Clearly the priorities remain a new left back and one or two strikers. But we're going about our business quietly and efficiently and it's encouraging to see.
Don't forget "Bruce" (Craig Forsyth)!! He looks an exciting prospect. As someone else mentioned earlier, by the nature of our signings, could we be seeing a 4-5-1 formation?!
As mentioned above ,bodies coming in of a reasonable quality (seemingly) an LB and a striker or 2 and were getting there! Feeling a lot more optimistic than a few weeks back!
