Out of curiosity, I googled for the best football chairmen, and didn't find mch. What I did find were three more votes for the worst ones, and we' re not mentioned at all. Sometimes, I think some get too wrapped up in our issues, and don't look to get a wider perspective from others. http://www.totalfootballforums.com/forums/topic/84189-best-worst-chairman/ http://www.football.co.uk/mancheste...british-football/4555636/#YBkVYiGVXYcvKXdd.97 http://www.whoateallthepies.tv/list...football-club-chairman-owners-presidents.html
Is that just last seasons spend? As Stoke have spent millions and millions over the last few years. Palace spent a lot in the previous January window. At the time we were supposed to have had the best transfer window. Funny how things turn out. There is no doubt our signings didnt work out.
To be fair the first time the name change was mentioned in July/August 2013 ( it followed his strop at not getting the HU11 CTY car registration in the March)- so I'm not surprised earlier articles don't mention him in a negative light - it's only since then that his behaviour / actions have become more and more bizarre and outrageous
Here ya go. The link could make up for what your schooling lacked, and save you taking pride in your ignorance. http://englishteststore.net/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=11403&Itemid=18
its the summer spend in 2014 - It's only a snap shot really - I'm sure none of us ever imagined we'd be relegated - if there wasn't all the name change **** going on, most fans would have been fairly philosophical about it - however with all the Allam ****, it all went very negative and created a nasty undercurrent
I dont think thats true. We're in the mass hysteria era of Twitter where everything is an extreme. So Charon what would you do now as the new owner? Sack Bruce? If he's got a 3 year deal then you're paying him compo, so more expense. How do you budget when the biggest outlay is players wages. Sacking a few cleaners isnt going to help is it.
Agree with most of that. My point was that we really don't look like we're seriously going for promotion. We look more like we're gonna have to accept losing the PL momentum entirely and be the next Bolton/Cardiff/Wigan/Blackpool/Birmingham.
I don't know what his contract says - all/ many of the players are on 50%ish for relegation so presumably Brucie has the same in his contract as he only signed in March this year - if he keeps threatening to resign, I'd accept so presumably no compo - however any compensation would be small compared to the amount for getting back into the PL - in any event I think his performance over the last 18 months has been awful, comes across as nice bloke but so what - seems to have lost the plot on too many occasions last season - I'm not really convinced many of the team are standing by him - It really needs someone to motivate the fans and the team - all of Brucies recent interviews have been lacklustre and downbeat - not good enough lack of fresh ideas lack of plan B - wouldn't be surprised if Allam got rid of him this week
He's done that before. Not cleaners but got rid of a **** load of people. Of course he was praised for it then.
Celebrate - appoint Phelan ( I'm assuming that he isn't a Bruce clone) - consider Dawson a s player / assistant manager - at the end of the day even the chef from Bun in the Oven would be a better bet than Brucie
