ok maybe a little transfer action the little dutch lad looks half decent ...but surely c halfs should be the main targets ...it wont cut it the crap we have ,not 1 decent c half at the moment ...

build from the back . if they cant score you cant get beat simple as ..

when will they learn to build a half dencent defence is basic thinking ..cant even remember the last decent c half we had ..

if it were me spending transfer money ... id break the bank to build solid defence first always . forget all this attacking full backs etc ..and just fookin defend for ya lives ..is the way give it players that can do things with the ball ..as the late great brian clough would say to his defenders...I pay you to keep that ball out of my net lol

In this mornings news we are said to be very close to signing Mbemba and are also looking at Abdennour who has apparently expressed interest in joining NUFC.

I've seen nothing of either, but the general consensus seems to be that Mbemba is the best player in Belgium/outside the top 4 leagues and that Abdennour is close to world class.

Sounds hopeful. Of course if we signed both then things would get interesting when the ACON rolls around.

We need two centre backs asap. I think it will be a real kick up the arse for the defenders already there, and also allow us to move a couple on. Any two from Colo, Saylor, Willo - I say any two, but ideally Saylor and Willo. Definitely Willo and one other.

    This.

It doesn't matter in what order you buy the players, so long as the right players are bought for the right position at the right time.

Yeah sign both, that sounds pretty good to me. I don't agree at all to the signing of two African CBs you're royally ****ed when they go on there jollys, oh wait I mean 'play football at the ACON'.

Best eastern Europeans in my opinion.

Who would you put in there? You seem to think you need a Steven Gerrard 'sprayer' in there but players like him don't come cheap nor are there many around that can effortlessly control a game. The signing of Wijnaldum, who is a beast box-to-box indicates to me that Mac doesn't intend to set you up in an orthodox rigid formation. The double 6 seems very plausible to me and that other guy will be Colback, he'll do the neat, tidy stuff whilst Wijnaldum will make things happen.

The fact you're undermining your new manager because he hasn't signed Pirlo is ridiculous.
