    Morning all

Bright and sunny here. Grass being mown in the field opposite. Older daughter about to buy a house near Narbonne so visits to south of France could become more frequent from later in the year.

Enjoy the break in Ireland with your good lady Leonardo, hopefully you will still be able to keep up with all things WFC. If you cannot I am sure the new Mods will take care of the place in your short absence!

Mme. has just reminded me that it a holiday today, and that there will be a carnival atmosphere in the nearby town with food, beer tents ;)and fireworks.

It seems strange that twice in one week she should guide me towards ale.

The festivities are going well in the Capital OFH, they started last night according to my Mme the music eventually stopped at 4am<yikes> She went up to the Champs-Élysées to watch the parade this morning and saw Mr Sarkozy atop his vehicle waving to the crowd. This evening she is going to a walk up to the Eiffel Tower to see what is going on, next year I shall have to book leave and go across for a look myself. She said the best thing she saw today was a naked fireman on top of the Fire Station (near he apartment) playing the ukulele<yikes> well I hope she was looking at his ukulele :embarrassed::emoticon-0104-surpr

Surely a free hire car to the nearest off-licence would be a solution Norway. ;)

I have seen the pictures from Paris, but no fireman was given any coverage.<laugh> There should be a spectacular fireworks display from the Eiffel tower tonight.

Yes its the same one I have used on previous occasions, I have complained ,but apparently its their policy to close the bar in the summer!!!!! I am writing a written complaint and will get ourcompany gaffer to sign it, I think we need a new hotel!!! which is a shame as Ive just got a gold card for this one which upgrades a lot of goodies!!
But no bar is no bar!!! I am holding up under the strain of this with my 3litre box of wine I bought with me:)
