Sitting back against Palace when we were 3 up certainly we are going to win.<ok>

  2. There is another argument to this. If a team have taken a two or three goal lead they are obviously doing something right so why change it?

If the opposition change their formation (as Palace did).. you need to cancel them out.

Because teams get tiered later in games and if you give your opponent the boost of a goal it can lift them and knock you back, Crystal Palace ring any bells?

  5. I knew that response was coming. Teams don't normally score three and think "we need to score four more" before going gung-ho <laugh>

The point remains that you were well on top until the first Palace goal went in, after that the whole dynamic changed

  7. And my point that it wasn't a normal game still stands too. I wouldn't have done any of the options in the poll, I'd have maintained playing possession football rather than chase an impossible target.

You mean goal difference?. Crazy I say crazy !.. Lack of experience on the part of Brendan Rodgers.
Chelsea game at Anfield was another one.

  9. The Chelsea game was silly. If Gerrard doesn't slip, we don't lose the game, Chelsea had no intention of attacking, Mourinho was parking the bus knowing we'd never break them down but they were never going to score either. Some would claim different tactics would have seen us win the league and you're right to point at experience too. Don't piss about with the ball when you're the last man.

Gerrards slip did not cause the problem, he failed to control the ball and that caused the problem.

  12. If he hadn't slipped, the control wouldn't have been a issue. The slip was the problem

  14. If he'd have shot first time we'd have won the game
