Bisc is right, the Aussies are unlikely to enforce the follow on.

    Close of play......Aussies 108 without loss.........the lead is 362.

The Aussies will bat another session, maybe a little more, take it up to 450/500

Oh totally. Cook and stokes did ok. The rest let the side down badly.

Bell should be dropped. He's failed both tests and dropped a catch in this one.

Harsh? When you are on last chance it's not

There's two days to go. If they give us 1.5 days to bat there is no excuse to throw the wickets away and we can still draw but I sincerely doubt it.

England can bat for 1 1/2 days as the Aussies did it and the pitch isn't offering anything massive to bowlers.

Just need to be something for 0 after 20 overs when the first new ball ha slots its effect and it should be a lot easier for the rest.

If if we end up something for 2 or 3 in first 20 then we'll struggle.

Agree with this although it is a different mentality batting for 1.5 days when you know you're saving the match.

I think they just need to think of each session as a milestone. First session 1 wicket max...and then take each session from there.

    True.
Runs are important as well though, can't just survive the raise Australia will have 7 men round the bat all day, need to score runs and push the field back to make it easier.

But it scoring ruins means playing positively which brings more chance of being out unfortunately.

To put it in perspective, the number of times a team has batted for five sessions to win a test match (in the entire history of test cricket)

    is................................5
