Two cracking signings. A CB and LB and I'll be well impressed. Get rid of a few fringe players, Williamson, Goufran etc to free up the wage bill. Looking a good window so far. No doubt Mike will fec it up.

We still require a player in the middle with a range of passing ability in my opinion

Sunderland have mostly got there eyes on some decent players, but I don't anyone around us has bought the quality we have. Very likely I've missed the signings however.

On a side note, Man Utd are getting a fearsome midfield together.

I hate man united they are obviously a massive club, however they seem to think its their god given right to win the title. Personally id love for the entire top 4 to change it would teach them all a valuable lesson.

Well I've just watched. 5 min YouTube video on the lad and I have to say I was less than impressed based on that. I know it's only YouTube and luque looked mint on YouTube and we were all raving about him and look what happened there.

The video itself could have easily been shortened to a minute as they showed about 6 or 7 slo mo replays of nearly every goal but that's besides the point.

From what I saw he looks very much like a Michael Owen type of player. None of the goals he scored were created by himself he was always on the end of something which in some respects is good I guess, seems to get in good positions and always looking to get on the end of something but that requires something that we've been distinctly lacking for a long time....some good ****ing service!

Dunno how old the videos/goals were and he may have developed significantly since and maybe an alround better player now. He certainly knows where the goal is, knows how to finish and puts himself in positions to be able to receive the ball in the box which is great. He better than Rivieire based on what I saw tho and would be a welcome addition.

I just hope above all hope that this isn't another Mateja Kezman. 105 goals in 122 apps for PSV then moves to Chelsea and was absolutely ****e....remember him ?

I hope he lives up to expectations because people will expect too much from our signings. This is a different league and hell be surrounded by inadequacy bar onw ir two currently....lets hope we get the rest required.

Well he's young with an eye for goal, perfect to develop into a very good Premier League striker. But you need to give him time. Can't be expecting instant impact from the kid. He could hit the ground running you never know but it's not a signing I'd pin my seasons hopes on.

You've got a lot of work to do as you need so much improvement all over the pitch. One quality signing and a kid for the future isn't near enough to improve you enough, quicker they're in the quicker they gel. Given he'll only be your second signing I'd be getting a bit twitchy. Still plenty of time but it looks like you'll still be shopping when the season starts.

He's certainly more of a poacher, which I think is what we need. Someone who can actually be a bit of danger in the box.

Plus it appears he can hold it up unlike cisse who couldn't hold up his own penis.

Cisse isn't a footballer, he can pop the odd ball into a net. Anything else and he's completely lost.

True but without his goals we'd be in the fizzy pop.

If it's a toss up between cisse and Riviere its like a toss up between a gun or a stick
