Time and time again last year he got brutally exposed as he was frequently left outnumbered at the back. He certainly didn't look out of place when Cardiff went out. Caulker will prove everyone wrong. 2. I agree I think he'll go, but that is our biggest mistake. He should have been number 1 last year all the time.
The times he played he did not grab the chance with both hands. In all the matches I have seen McCarthy play, he has made mistakes...I am more than fully aware that Greeno makes serious mistakes, but he is also spectacularly good. I am not sure McCarthy is the goalie to take us foward for the next 10 years...if we can get our money back on him, I would not be disappointed
If McCarthy played the amount of games Green did, he'd have been challenging for the England number 1 spot. There's a reason he was wanted by Liverpool.
The reason he was wanted by Liverpool was that he played a blinder against them a couple of years ago, and Rodgers was mightily impressed.
