    Possibly.

Sadly a sequel would likely answer the question, which will ruin the brilliance of the original.

I tend to agree with that. While not a direct sequel Blade Runner already has a sequel of sorts. If you remember Soldier exists in the same universe as Blade Runner. Prometheus/Alien and Blade Runner were also possibly merged. It was put into an easter egg in Prometheus also some effects where used in both Blade Runner and Aliens.

In case you dont remember that here is the easter egg in Prometheus that ties in the Alien universe and the Blade Runner universe.

The special effects used in both.

Alien on top, blade runner on the bottom.

They were both directed by Ridley Scott too.

Blade Runner > Alien for me.

I wouldnt rank the two of them. For me they are different genres although both in the giant genre of sci-fi. Like, I wouldnt compare Godfather and Lawrence of Arabia. Alien is more sci-fi horror, Aliens is sci-fi war(specifically sci-fi vietnam), Blade Runner is sci-fi noir, Star Wars sci-fi western. One could compare Blade Runner and Dark City (also Sci-fi noir) for instance or Star Wars and Firefly(both sci-fi westerns). Although Star Wars the series is more Sci-fi Opera in that instance you could compare Star Wars and Dune (the first Dune is also really a sci-fi western). One could compare Aliens and Starship Troopers, Old Mans War, A Hymn Before Battle, Armor but the best comparison would probably be Aliens and Forever War since they are both very Vietnam oriented.

Michael Biehn has said that he has been asked to play Hicks again in the new movie and that he thinks he will be doing it. He hardly looks like his old self at all anymore.

That can be easily got around, considering the concepts have him with half his face destroyed.

Dude, did you see the new concept art released today? I don't want to spoil it for you if you would prefer to not know until the movie comes out but it's big news as far as storyline goes.

    Yea I know.

So what you think then? Powered mechs as well as a new South Korean company in competition with the previous British/Japanese one. It means he will be taking a lot of risks my expanding the universe and moving away a bit from what has worked before.

Yes that's what he's saying but it's just wrong. First of all the > symbol means numerically greater than. Alien and Aliens refer to films which do not have a numerical value. Stretching the imagination a bit it's even more wrong because Alien (singular) is clearly less than Aliens (plural).

So Quill, stop trying to be a smart bastard and just write in English, if you need some help it's here:

Actually Quill is an expert in quantum field theory and has expertly calculated the subatomic mass of everything in the movie alien and aliens and his statement that Alien > Aliens is indeed correct. Although certainly his formula left you misunderstanding the complex nature of his assertion Quill felt that this forum was not the location for scholarly debate about the accuracy of his quantum mechanical models.
