Do they rarely ever make a signing of a player who doesn't leave his former club in bad terms with the fans? Look at the whole Sterling saga, then Delph, the Delph case is one major cluster ****.

But it's not the first time players have joined City without causing a major backlash or leaving in unsleazy terms, you have Tevez, Nasri, Barry, and the list goes on.

I mean is the criteria to be an absolute **** before you have to sign with City? Because I'm starting to really think it is, it's like City tell these players you have to prove how badly u want this 200k a week, go make an absolute dick of yourself to prove how bad you want it.

Hopefully Delph gets a ton of stick for being a lying ****, only last week he was going on about loyalty and staying at Villa, and funny thing is City wanted Pogba for that posisiton but he blanked them and City had to turn to the mighty Delph. <laugh>

TBH I really don't fear City next season, signing Delph is not what they needed, as for Sterling, I'm just meh about him, there's still someway to go in the transfer market so they could end up signing 2-3 actual players who can do damage, but until it happens, they're nothing that special at the moment, just a bunch of overpaid players with many of them almost nearing the end of their peak.

City do seem to be amassing a team full of Bastardos, but John Terry is a one man bastardo of epic proportions. Its hard to top that even if City have a full 11.

Heard that after he retires from football, him and Giggs will be setting up a crèche for players wives, sorry of players wives...

Lazarus is right, so long as John Terry lives Chelsea will win the C*ntometer award every season. Having Maureen manage them just puts the gloss on it.

Special mentions to Costa, Ramires and Ivanovic, all of whom rate very highly on the bellend scale.

Forgot about the other Chelsea players, especially Costa. Don't know anything about him off the pitch, but he is one big cu*t on the pitch. Easily one of the dirtiest players in the Prem. Nasty.

Can't really blame Delph too much. Why is football so different from any other industry? If I got offered a job and decided against it then a few days later had a change of heart it would be understandable but because it's football he's a lying **** and should probably be hanged.

As for City's other players, you won't find many Liverpool fans not delighted to swap Sterling for £49m and the others' fans come across a bit like jilted lovers pretending they don't care about an ex.

Erm he came out saying I am loyal bla bla bla, looking forward to starting the season and being your captain bla bla bla bla, he said it not once, but TWICE, before the transfer saga ever came about, then after the first failed attempt, erm so no that does make you a piece of ****, in any line of work, not just football.

It's quite obvious the change of heart was some bullshit most likely to do with $$$, so don't come pretending you're all loyal bla bla bla when you don't get what you want, then when you do, all of a sudden that loyalty bullshit you spoke about goes ****, that makes you a slimy bastard, and again, in any field, not just football.

If he just said hey yes I wanted to go, but it just didn't work out, let's concentrate on what's ahead, then fine....He came out with some bullshit like he was never intending to go and these are just rumours and he's 'fully committed' to the cause.

Many players have moved clubs, but the grass wasn't greener on the other side, they went back to former club, and they were just open about it, saying yeah it didn't work out, so I'm back, let's move on....That's all he could have done, say yeah we were talking about a move, it didn't happen, let's go. Instead he tried to turn himself into some lovely loyal player, which was some PR bullshit no doubt drummed up by his agent and marketing team.

He signed the same contract he was originally offered. It comes across more as leaving the sinking ship now Benteke has gone.

People get far too emotional about football. He said what people wanted to hear and quite possibly meant it at the time. The situation changed and he moved clubs. Not great for the fans but he's not really done anything too terrible.

Spot on - it's not as if you see Morissons' regular customers stanindg outside the store screaming abuse at Jenny the assistant manager as she's been offered more money to go to Waitrose. Actually there's a thought...

That said, they don't help themselves sometimes especially as they know how "outraged" people get about these things - I cannot imagine Delph didn't have any doubts when he committed to Villa and he would have benefitted from keping quiet until everything was done and dusted.

No true, but I doubt Morrisons' customers know or care who Jenny the assistant manager is.

But I know my work colleagues would be annoyed if I promised to them that they could rely on me, then I dropped them in it by saying I was leaving, only to change my mind, then a day later ******ing off to a rival.

Or the company CEO did the same, severely affecting the company and its performance.

I think it's an issue of both scale and trust - Scale as in regardless of if Jenny stays or goes it's not going to have a huge effect on Morrisions, their performance isn't going to drop, their isn't going to be massive store closures or anything, whereas the captain (and one of the best players) leaving a struggling team for a pittance could mean that team getting relegated next season - hugely effecting the team, it's profits and ability to provide a quality service to it's customers (the fans) and pay it's employees (the backroom staff, stadium staff, admin people as well as players).
And trust in that if someone swears devotion to something you care deeply about (and I'd imagine Villa fans care more for, empathise with and relate to Aston Villa a lot more than they do to their local Morrisons shop) and then U turn, then lie and say all the stories about him leaving are rubbish and he's got total commitment, then to leave again. It wounds people, and annoys them - they are only human. Anyone would be the same - whether you care about a football team, a pub darts team, a political party, friends community club - you'd all feel the same regardless of the money involved.

Depends on your general view of life I suppose - I always assume that most people are money grabbing self serving **** bags who'd jetisson a friendship and cut your throat if there was something in it for them. Me? Never been in such a situation but if I was I'm pretty sure I'd do the same no matter how much i may swear I wouldn't. So Delph's actions really don't seem too bad to me even if he could have handled it much better.
