Shame cwarr still wont feck off.

Not surprised at this news at all. N'Zogbia always seemed set on Aston Villa. Cant see him going anywhere else. As for Taylor, it isnt much of a loss at all.

I'd still like a more natural LB as cover though, rather than Ferguson and Kadar.

I just don't understand how Villa will afford it - they only got £35mil from Young and Downing too?!?! Baffles the mind where the money is coming from...hmmm

Same here? Not forgetting the £24m plus £67m agent fees they shelled out to get Darren Bent. They'll really be struggling to meet the financial fair play criteria.

The whole N'zogbia thing was a joke, they knew fine well Wigan wouldn't sell for 4million, it's a disrespectful offer. I won't be accepting excuses of "we tried but their valuation didn't match ours". We're in the same boat with Enrique in the last year of his contract, reckon they'd accept a 4mil bid from Arsenal? Doubt it.

Taylor, I'm not massively gutted about, wouldn't mind seeing him come here but he's hardly a world beater. If he feels he has more of a future at Swansea then good luck to him, we seriously need to rethink how we're looked at by other players though if that's the case.

And I'm sure we'll still sell some people too.

disappointed that we couldn't afford 1 million for a left back considering we have around 30 million to spend.

It'll be interesting to hear how they then justify bidding £12m was it? back in January.

That's what SSN were quoting when that guy was outside SJP as the Carroll deal went through.

Quotes also saying Pardew has reiterated none of the Carroll money will leave the club, their whole wording on the 35mil worries me, it's blatantly not all going on players, no where near.

You forgot wages mate!... supposedly wages of new players can NOT be afforded selling other players on similar wages... who would have thought it?!

Still plenty of time to sign a right back, midfielder and a star forward.

Maybe we'll bid 3m for Darren Bent and claim we tried our best to sign him.

The only thing mildly amusing from this is it's yet another major fail from cwarr, he damn near put his house on Zog coming back. Prick.

    thats the thing though.
the only player we bought was Cabaye and that was only after selling Nolan. since then any other player who would cost us money has fallen through.
we have now failed to sign 5 players and still have no new strikers.

    Calm down everyone.

Zog, we have know for ages that this signing was unlikely because his wage demands were too high. As for £4m bid, hasn't this come from twitter? Where else has this bid been confirmed?

Naylor - if you watch the SSN interview with Brendan Rodgers you will soon realise that both Swansea and NUFC have been played by an agent in order to get Naylor a better deal at Swansea. Not at all something that anybody at NUFC can be blamed for.

Zog has been a non-story for some time and the success or failure of this window was never going to be determined by whether we signed Naylor.

We now move on to other targets and have over six weeks of the window left. Too early to be panicking!
