Could easily have won the first game...need to stop hitting the woodwork. Ron said Salzburg saved their best team for us....which explains the thrashing they took in the 1st game. Winning would have been good, but most players got a 45 min run out....perfect for this stage of preseason. Better than a 90 min game with lots of changes....more interesting for the spectator as well.
And yet still seemed to get caught out of position when defending quite often (particularly the LBs - fortunately they're 3rd and 4th choice LB )
Yeah, sums up Debayo's performance in a nutshell. Thought he and Gape - for different reasons - looked some way short of first team material at present.

JRod just been on Sky saying that other teams being interested in him was flattering but he just wanted to concentrate on getting fit. And he wanted to sign for Saints because they'd stuck by him and it's where he wants to be. Nice one.

I think some fans were a bit hard on Tadic as he wasn't as sharp as he first appeared, but Koeman admitted the player was struggling with injuries. Let's hope he soon regains form as he was electric at the beginning of last season.
