The reason for that is the away fans are accommodated in both the East and the North, the price therefore has to be the same in both stands. If they reduced the prices for the 2,000 or so singing fans in the North they'd have to reduce them for the other 6,000 or so in the East stand and the away fans. That said, the prices are too high across the board.
I think they've lost me too to be honest, will have to join in with the matchday thread/ Blunderside nonsense crew when there are games on.
Surely they can avoid that by only reducing the kids prices in the North and leaving the adult prices as they are?
Let's face it, some were never going to be happy no matter what prices were announced. There're are threads bemoaning the lack of action on the transfer front and blaming the lack of funds. The prices are to an extent set by market forces. Time will tell if they've got these right, but grumbling on here won't change them. If we want the club to listen to fans, we need to offer something constructive.
As someone on twitter has pointed out we might have the following situation arise: Premiership 14/15 fixture v Burnley £16 Championship 15/16 fixture v Burnley £ 30 or even £36 However, this is more down to the ludicrous pricing from last season. Still, it highlights the inconsistency and lack of foresight that the club has shown re match day prices since 2013.
There were plenty of constructive points raised at the FWG meetings last season. They definitely listened - then did sweet f a about them.
Fair enough, it was tried at three meetings with limited success, so let's find the negatives in anything associated with the club. That'll work.
This is a forum, people are going to discuss the things that they think the club are getting wrong, it's not really our fault that they get far more wrong than they get right and these things end up being largely negative.
They didn't ignore it all, a percentage wasn't acted on, there's a difference. They were listening on other occasions and to other people to some degree. But as I posted earlier, struggling earlier doesn't then mean that the negatives have to be drawn out of everything to do with the club, especially if no viable alternative is being suggested. If things are wrong, then we should be pointing out the more favourable option instead of just grumbling about everything.
It's a forum for a damn sight more than that, but there's been a fair few bits described as wrong turned out not to be as claimed. If people want to moan, that's fine, but it's continual and dragging things down. Surely it'd be better to point out the better solution rather than just whining about every single thing. It'd certainly be more interesting. There's precious little wonder the club don't feel inclined to talk to certain sections when you see the negativity and abuse posted on here.
