They have just bagged Cifci for £1.5 million. A steal IMHO would have made a great option in a Saints Squad.
Keeping in mind out transfer budget (whatever that might be - but have read somewhere [unconfirmed] the fees we got for Clyne and Morgan were the seasons budget) and our salary cap - I presume we are restricted to whom we can attract. Clearly Virgil is one player and I have read another raid on Feyenoord is possible, who else do you guys realistically think could be in the mix?
We have spent about £20m so far. VvD would probably cost around £8m according to the papers, so you reckon another £17m-£22m on a marquee player?
Juanmi £5m Martina £1m Clasie £8m Cedric £4.8m (make it £5m to round it off) Dijk I think will cost more then £8m. I think he will go for around £10m Then hopefully Praet for around £10m. So around £40m + Obviously if we get them cheaper I am not going to argue.

Having seen the videos and the way VVD can bring the ball out from defence, it wouldn't surprise me if RK also sees him as back up for defensive midfield, should injuries and/or suspensions hamper team selection.
