I've read a few people now talking about him and goals. His record isn't great for goals. I think it's something like 8 at Feyernoord in total. Edit: just checked. 8 goals in 129 games. Let's not think he is the answer to goals from midfield, otherwise people will build that expectation. He's here to do another job.
I read another article from the bottom of the page talking about the blind faith Saints' fans have in Koeman...not wrong there. Mentions that he lost players when he joined us, but then added he has to do it all over again. Thankfully the last bit is a slight exaggeration or perhaps I've learnt not to worry so much.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...n-Dutch-midfielder-handed-five-year-deal.html Article in Daily Mail re Clasie signing. Nothing new, but good news needs repeating.
Got this ditty going round in my head but it needs more... To the tune of Posh girls ( scouting for girls ) " He looks 15. Don't be deceived he's our midfield machine And he looks like butter wouldn't melt who oh " Needs another verse " he's our little bit of Clas Scores goals and a perfect pass" Great tune but needs more input.!!?? Edit "Dutch boys have good manners, and they go like the clappers......" Koemans got em playing and they look so kool"
Nicked this idea from the Echo comments To the tune of "Happy Hour" by the Housemartins: What a good place to be Jordy Clasie He speaks a different language But he's tearing up the Premier Leeeeeeeeague It's Jordy power again
Don't believe in praising a player in a chant before we've seen him play for us. You have to earn that kind of chant. Stick to his name for now.
I know Fran, just a bit of fun while we pass the time, besides by the time a decent chant is thought of , the player is on his way out of the the club
He stands just over 5ft 3 Jordy, Jordy He'll take us to the champions league, jordy, jordy, He's a little small and hard to see Some mates will ask who the **** is he And that's why we all love Jordy Clasie
He stands just over five foot three, Jordy Jordy He’ll take us to the Champions League, Jordy, Jordy He’s very small and hard to see Some ask ‘who the **** is he?’ Jordy Clasie, Southampton’s number four
