Seriously hope we dont sell Di Maria. I could understand with Falcao but selling ADM after one season would be pure kafka!
Our squad is looking good. This would be a backward step. How many competitions did we seriously comprte in last season. We'll need everyone if we're looking at at least challenging in the League and Champions League let alone the domestic cups.
Valencia might not be as intelligent as rafael but he is by far the better back up right back. Rafael can't play 3 games without getting injured, and he still has this temperament issues. He is always a calamity waiting to happen. Valencia can play 38 games a season and he will be consistent even though not spectacular. Rafael can hardly play 20 games and he will be spectacular in few and disastrous in few. So which of the 2 looks better to u?
I dont agree. Rafael is the better defender and offers more going forward. Valencia for me is the calamity waiting to happen, as evident in a string of matches last season. His injuries are overplayed as well. His brother was injury prone. Rafael is a nutter who plays with energy and enthusiasm which often means he comes off worse, things like concussion being a typical example. The season before last he played about 24/25 games which is enough for a backup RB which is all we need and we'd drop less points in those games than Valencia playing them. But above all, rafael gives 100%, he really puts every last bit of effort into every minute he's on yhe pitch. He's fearless and a ball player. Valencia is clueless and predictable, not good enough positionally to defend, not incisive or clinical enough going forward. I would choose rafael tbh and it's not even close imo.
Playing with energy and enthusiasm is his major problem. He makes mistakes and every time he takes a defender in the penalty box there is always this fear of him conceding a penalty or getting himself sent off over stup1d challenges. Like I said, he is more likely to have spectacular games than Valencia, but he is also more likely to have horror games. This could be forgiven when he was still a youngster but he is not a kid anymore. Rafael can easily be provoked to getting sent off, Valencia on the other hand is average and will always be average and play it safe in most games. To most managers Valencia will always be a safer option.
I would like to keep di Maria too. But if we wants to go, then I wouldn't mind him being a makeweight in the transfer of Cavani or Zlatan.
Neither as neither are very good (well Ibra is OK but hes 34 and so far up his own arse he wouldn't ever play)
Their tour looks like a wum planned it. Yesterday they were all training for their future careers in Subway and today this
Manchester united squad can make 3 teams this year... There will be a lot of dressing room problems because of lack of first team chances. Fergie used to have massive squads and managed to fit everyone in and van Gaal has manager at Ajax, Bayern and Barcelona. He had few problems (rivaldo and gomez aside) either. Got a sneaky feeling there will be no dressing room problems and the big names will see plenty if game time, if deserved. Last season showed that name means very little to LvG.

Yep, very happy about that "At the time we had to decide which strikers we could have," the boss said. "We had: [Danny] Welbeck, Chicharito, [Robin] van Persie and [James] Wilson. Then I had to make a decision to let Welbeck and Chicharito go. We had also bought Falcao. "So when you play a system with one or two strikers you can have too many strikers. You have to make decisions. One of those decisions was to let go Chicharito. But now he's coming back on 25 July."
