If you don't have an account with Corals or Betway Corals are 8/1 for Jordan Speith to finish in the top 10 (max £20 new customers only) Betway are 8/1 for Jordan Speith to finish outside the top 8 (max £20 new customers only) If you already have a Corals account, never fear - have a £50 bet in their top 5 finish or top 6 finish market and you will get a free £50 in play bet.
The boy is on fire but this is a totally differant course to what he is used to.i'm gona stick with sergio, lefty phil n louis oosty
I back the same golfers every time and only back in majors: Kaymer 33/1 Woods 40/1 (silly I know and probably should be bigger on form but you just never know and 40/1 for one of the greatest ever is not bad) Furyk 66/1 Harrington 100/1 All ew first 7 places.
Get the name right TC, only ignorant Americans call it the British Open! Anyways my selections are as follows: Fowler 22/1 Kaymer 40/1 Mickelson 45/1 Zach Johnson 100/1 Horschel 125/1 Just did these all EW this morning
Just for info and sorry if it gets on anyone's tits but I'll delete this thread tomorrow as off-topic and encourage all who are interested to visit the golf forum. More like-minded folk there no doubt.
No problem mate - I only posted it on this board as the golf board hasn't been used in over 3 months so I presumed it wouldn't get noticed. Just felt the info warranted a shout up
Had Speith in the masters and Johnson in the us open so a bit mixed so far. Going for Garcia 33-1, Kaymer 40-1, Oozthuisen 22-1 and Rose 20-1. Speith has ZERO chance of winning as his achievements this year would then start to become the greatest of all time with Ben Hogan and Hogan wasn't 21 years old when he won the first 3 majors of the year.
I haven't backed Spieth, but to say he has zero chance is a little naive. The lad just keeps proving everyone wrong round after round, so I think it's foolish to write him off tomorrow. If none of my bets are in contention come Sunday, il be hoping he wins, as it'll be good for Golf if he does. To go to the last major with the chance of a calendar grand slam would be unbelievable, especially as he's only 21
There's a reason why only 1 person has ever won the first 3 majors of the year - it's very difficult! Won't happen so great that Speith is so low in the betting as great odds on the rest of the world's top ten.
A chap called David Lingmerth (no me neither) has just played the first 9 holes and is 7 under the par! Cor blimey!
Lingmerth is -7 through 10. What a joke of an Open venue St Andrews is, they really need to toughen it up. Looks like it's gonna be a Birdie fest, which shouldn't be the case in a major tournament
He's started well anyways Stick, if he goes in at 8/1 im sure plenty including me will be asking themselves why they didn't back him
