He'll be back up right back. The truth is though that unless Di Maria for instance leaves he's unlikely to get in ahead of other players in his position. Could be wrong of course, we're all guessing. If Di Maria leaves and Depay plays as more of a striker then he gets more chance at right wing. Not forgotten but then the thread is titled best side and I would assume he won't be a first choice in that, whatever the formation.
Anyway to answer the question, if we play 2 of the 3 (carr, schwei, schnei) then the DM has to sit deeper imo. ---------------------GK Darmian---CB----CB---Blind ---------------Carr/Schw --------Schnei---------Herrera Mata----------Rooney-----Depay But if we're not playing 2 of the 3 - and lets be honest will we really need to against 80% of the teams in the prem??? Then I'd like to see... ---------Schneid-----Herrera Mata-----------Rooney------Depay/ADM -------------------Striker Or Mata----------Schnei---------Herrera ADM-----------Rooney--------Depay
I aren't a Man Utd fan but I am interested in the things going on at United at the moment. I am wondering what you believe is your best current first team because I struggle to see how all these top quality players fit in. On top of that it is very likely you will end up with at least 2 more with a centre back and a striker. I find it difficult to see how you leave out any of the following. - Young - Rooney - Mata - Herrera - Di Maria - Blind - Schneiderlin - Schweinsteiger - Depay - New Striker ? Cavani ? - New Centre Back ? Ramos ? - Rojo - Shaw - Carrick - Darmian Plus plenty more. Some because they have been bought recently for a lot of money. Obviously a good dilema to have.
As always, accept no substitutes or imposters. This is the Official Best Team Thread. Please ignore all other threads masquerading as Best Team threads. You may continue but please keep it official.
Here's what I consider to be our best team (100% official) -----------------Rooney------------------- -------Depay----------------Mata--------- ------------------Herrera-------------------- ---Schneiderlin----Schweinsteiger--- Shaw----------------------------Darmian --------Jones----------Smalling--------- ----------------de Gea-------------------- And here is an alternative; -----------------Rooney------------------- ---------Young--------de Maria--------- ------------------Fellaini-------------------- ---Carrick------------------Herrera--- Blind----------------------------Valencia --------Rojo----------Evans--------- ----------------Valdes-------------------- Only Rooney and Herrera are in both, which tells me we're fine for centre halves and only really need one more back up striker. Of those not in the first team Young, Carrick and Blind (at left back, not at CM) would have cause to grumble. As yet, Di Maria doesn't (based on him not being the person in possession of a place in the team, yet) but then could well leave anyway if rumours are true. I just can't fathom the new accusation that we'll have way too many players verging on a mutiny when the party line last year was we had a ****e squad, all on the back of (so far) three signings.
The difference with this and last summer is that we are signing the right type of players. Experienced leaders for the midfield, young yet experienced right back and an attacker highly sought-after. All address a weakness last season.
