I don't think there's a set order mate, you see players having medicals before a fee has been agreed and all sorts, I think it's just how it falls.
I doubt he will admit to failing a medical His patter is as false as Jordan's jugs anyway. If he is happy at St P'berg and doesn't fancy another club then what was he doing here? Anywayz.... forwards is the priority IMO. Don't want to start the season with all of Graham, Fletcher and Whickham on board
Failed medical, refused terms, doesn't matter. Sounds like a ****er, **** him, he won't be the only deal that doesn't come off. Next target.
Would have been a solid signing, a good signing, but let's not kid ourselves that there aren't many, many viable alternatives. I'm surprised we haven't gone to Spurs about Chirices, looked alright to me and is available for a similar fee.
In today's echo he said he did not want to leave his club !, so why have the medical in the first place, unless he confused us for Man c I suppose. Now go all out for Townsend and Austin after todays defeat as well.
At least we arent wasting the whole bloody summer trying to get sign him At least that's progress from last summer!
I think the clubs cloak and dagger tactics have not changed much despite a fresh new face. This story should be either dismissed or commented on to stop speculation. If its off, then why not just say its off? Why do we always have to act out a Soviet style media blackout all he time.
please log in to view this image Nicolas Lombaerts to Sunderland is back on again according to claims Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio made when speaking to the Russia's SovSport. Lombaerts was recently at the centre of failed Sunderland medical claims, something the player himself made moves to deny. Having a failed medical hanging over a footballer's head is never a good thing and Lombaerts told Sky Sports that it simply wasn't true "The medical was not an issue. I don’t want to talk about the medical. People are making up stories. I decided to stay in Russia. “Other teams in England were interested but I wanted to stay here. It’s my home here, and I feel happy. I have four games to become a Zenit legend. I will spend the remaining three years here, and maybe end my career here.” Di Marzio reckons that may not be the case because Dick Advocaat is heavily pushing a Sunderland move for the defender. A deal isn't yet done or close to being done because there are disagreements over money - what Sunderland would pay Zenit for the player and what Lombaerts would himself earn. Di Marzio said "There are some differences in the amount of the transfer and the amount of player salaries. But Dick Advocaat is keen to see the Belgian in his team." Could Lombaerts really go back on his words and move during the current transfer window? Of course he could, just ask Fabian Delph. Thanks to Atabek Marhaev for his help with sourcing and translating on this. Well we shall see
Stopped reading at Gianluca Di Marzio. Turned into a right twat since the Di Fanti/PDC ****. He's just a **** stirring prick.
