What Bri, and others, have tried to point out is that it isn’t that easy to decide. What if a 15-year-old girl who has lied to get into an over-18 club and looks 18 grabs hold of an 18-year-old lad and makes it clear she’s up for a shag? Others on here have had that experience. A story from my own family. My 15-year-old cousin got pregnant by a 19-year-old lad. Clearly illegal. A lad who was a piece of **** too, and had been involved in burglary. My uncle & aunt wanted him as far away from my cousin as possible. Fast forward 30 years and such lad has been a brilliant partner for my cousin, and a great father for his two kids, because when he knew he’d be a dad he stopped his ****ty behaviour and has worked ****ing hard to build a future for his family.
Peado means of a child; relating to children, phile means denoting a person or thing having a fondness for a specified thing. That means there needs to be attraction to children, which means somebody who sleeps with an underage person is not necessarily ****. In the Johnson case it's not even established that he knew her age let alone her age being the bases for his attraction. In both these cases it's not even known for certain that they even slept with them so no. I don't think they're ****s, not until a court proves beyond doubt. Like I said I know what it means. Now let me clarify again I'm from the west, I think sex with a minor is disgusting. I can't believe that we have some of the same Newcastle fans who have been absolutely slating Johnson, even though he has been found guilty of nothing, defending someone who has made a far younger girl pregnant.
For those talking about prosecution where did this take place? My cursory reading of the incidents are that they were in Senegal, if so then there's no possible way the police over here would or could have any interest in them. Plus... there is a statutory limitation on most offences and I suspect this one would have passed by now (not going to bother going to look up Senegalese law on statutory rape (if it even qualifies) but I'd be shocked if the limitation wasn't a handful of years following either the event or when the victim turns 18. As for my opinion, from the article there appears to be less than 3 years between them (two and some amount). I work with teenagers, if one tells me they are dating someone a year older than them it's pretty normal. 2 years older if far from unusual (especially the girls dating older boys). 3 years then yes you do report or consider reporting it. However if they say they are dating someone 10 years or so older then its a totally different ballpark of incident, I'm sure you can all see that.

It has been stated that he will not be facing prosecution for the very reasons that you have stated. However, if the likes of Rolf Harris has faced prosecution for crimes he committed much further back in time, I feel that this is very wrong.
