I have no view on this. Can't even say I remember who he is. But an interesting article, nevertheless ... http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2015/07/1...sider-move-for-free-agent-ryan-taylor/page/1/ Leeds United boss Uwe Rosler could do much worse than looking at a move to sign former Premier League defender Ryan Taylor. Leeds United manager Uwe Rosler deserves a pat on the back for the players he’s brought into his squad already ahead of the new season. He’s given Leeds a greater chance of being competitive in the Championship next year, but there is still arguably a need for a valuable commodity in the form of experience, before kick-off time in that first game against Burnley. The departure of Rudy Austin took a big presence away from the club in terms of the experience and leadership he provided both on and off the pitch. It’s something that Rosler needs to replace and he could turn to a former Premier League full-back to inject it in the form of Ryan Taylor. Taylor appeared as a guest on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast Show for talkSPORT yesterday confirming that he’s open to offers and while full-back is not a priority position for Rosler to change, there is theory in him considering a move for the free agent. Sam Byram and Charlie Taylor Ryan Taylor has experience of playing down either side of a team and his presence would represent the chance for Rosler to leave Sam Byram or Charlie Taylor in the advanced positions, where they excelled under Neil Redfearn. The current Leeds duo showed they can be very effective in wide midfield roles, with Ryan Taylor representing the chance for them to further refine their games in wide areas. Experience and versatility Taylor would give the Leeds first team that valuable injection of experience, which he’s accumulated over a long career. The 30-year-old has plenty of gas left in the tank and would be a good player for Rosler to use in terms of guiding and protecting the core of impressive younger players the club already has available. He’s also versatile enough to be able to play further forward in a wider midfield role in the same way as Byram and Charlie Taylor. He’s certainly not the first name that comes to mind in terms of the free agents Leeds could go after, but one definitely worth considering.
Good morning WJ Ryan Taylor is he fit now wasn't he out for the majority of last season or am I thinking about another Taylor you get like this at my age! If I am right I think this wants reflecting in his contract but other than that he gives 100% every game a great competitor and vastly experienced I would think a newly promoted club such as Bourne mouth may get him though
QPR are favourite to land him, how much of a pay cut is he willing to take? Reports say he is on £30k a week, or was...
How the hell are QPR still in business. Don't they have astronomical fines to pay when they arrived back in the championship? I haven't heard anything further about that?
I think Eire they are appealing against the 63m fine saying it was a gift from it's owner. They should receive at least 10m from the sale of Austin to Newcastle
Is this the barcodes taylor? because if it is he had an England call up a couple of seasons ago, then had a smashed knee and was out for yonks. he came back and broke down again and has hardly played hence the reason he's been released.
Surely if they get away with that, every club will be able to use that excuse to bypass ffp? I get the feeling, were not all playing on a level playing pitch
Due to Taylor's serious injuries and age, Cellino won't risk signing him ... QPR are staring down the barrel Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
