Do you think these players are what is needed to take you from 6th to first though? How many other players do you think will be moving to Liverpool this summer?
1st?? OK crack addict. We're attempting to build a side who will consistently beat bottom half and upper mid tables sides week in week out. So we can get back in the CL. That's it. When we get back in the CL then we can worry about players suited to both comps and pushing for higher in the league.
Sensible head on.... The players we have bought should move us back challenging for top 4 and hopefully a cup win. I will always believe, hope and pray that it will be more, that's just my nature. I am looking forward too.. Mereiles Lucas Adam Gerrard Carroll Suarez or Henderson Lucas Adam Downing Suarez Carrol and the many more combinations we have in midfield. I think our attacking line up looks impressive but i'm biased. What do you lot honestly think about the 2 formations I've just posted?

Yes 1st. Speak to the leader on your forum KPR. That's where he seems to think you will end up. In fact ask him to pop over for a debate
In the second one how can you leave Gerrard out? I think Suarez might be played out wide on the right or left and Downing on the other side with both players cutting in. Gerrard behind the front 3, tracking back in to midfield when needs be and I think Lucas and Adam may sit in the middle. For me that would be a decent option. Not sure if that is how Dalglish will play though.
He's banned, thank ****. This can be a little haven without stupidity or provocation. I don't rate Downing and hopefully I will be allowed to just offer that opinion on here as it is an opinion that is banned on the LFC board. He's never performed when I've watched, he was **** for Boro, has always been **** for England and while I accept he improved at Villa he's not a £20 million player. Nowhere near. He might improve though and God knows Liverpool need someone who can put the ball on that big dolts head (also massively over priced). I see Liverpool top four though, above Arsenal and Spurs. Despite being fleeced in the transfer market they are building a decent squad.
Tell you what though, it looks as though Dalglish has based his signings on how well they did last season. You wouldn't have bought any of these players this time last year. Carroll? Nobody wanted him for £1m. Henderson? Who? Adam? Only Championship quality last season. Downing? Only decent season he's had at Villa yet.

In all honesty, I think Downing is consistently average and hugely overpriced, he is an out and out winger which you did need but he doesn't offer a lot else, I have no doubt there was better options on the market for a similar price (N'Zogbia? Mata? maybe even Jarvis?). Henderson will work very hard for the team but I really don't think he's top 4 material. Adam has a good range of passing, but I think he will have to rely heavily on Lucas alongside him to be effective, just like he needed Vaughan alongside him at Blackpool, and when Lucas isn't alongside him I think he may struggle a bit, he is good at dead ball situations though.
