    the guy was borderline ******ed anyway. usually drinks cider but it was a special occasion so he thought he would push the boat out a bit and order a glenmorangie, the pub didnt have any so he said any whisky then. <philistine>

    I also have to laugh at these people that buy wine in a carton <laugh> How wrong is that? I don't even like wine when it comes in a screw top bottle.

    You get really good wine in France in a carton, better than most of the over-priced piss sold in this country. <ok>

    There's a brewery up here... mind you, you'll probably know it... Holt's? The strength is the same as any other beer but it gets you bladdered quicker and the hangovers are hellish.

    I've never had any problem with Stella though.

    I was ok with Stella for a few years then started to black out and got ****ed off with not remembering how I spent the night whilst emptying my bank account<laugh>

    we used to buy 4 litres of wine in Oz for 10 dollars. it was disgusting but for that price you cant complain. It was strong as **** <yikes>

    Discovered the bolivian after that period funnily enough and never had the memory problem, but twice the money issue with the monday psychosis as well<laugh>

    Bottles of Lager (for pouring into a nice cold glass)
    Paulaner or Warsteiner

    Pints:
    Sagres or Henieken

    Wine
    Red always: A Tempranillo or Rioja
    If splashing out: CnDPape

    Bourbon: Makers Mark or Woodford Reserve

    Rum: Havana 7 (straight with ice n lime) or Brugal (for mixing)

    PS Forgot to add... I also love Buckfast! Used to drink it weekly but now it's a "treat" <laugh>
