With a few more signings under our belts Kenny will have a selection headache for the Sunderland game.

Who do you think will be involved in the game; and what do you reckon the squad will be for the next season?

Personally I think Wisdom will get a look in, he's rock solid and think he'd be able to handle it in the premier league. I suspect Coady might get a look in for a few cup games as well, especially after that cracker goal against Guangdong.

If Pacheco doesn't go out on loan I can see him playing a part as a fringe player, and I think we've established that Spearing and Shelvey (if they also don't go on loan) will play a part in the next season.

    My 25 man squad:
    Gerrard,
    Suarez,
    Carroll,
    Carra,
    Kelly,
    Johnson,
    Agger,
    Skrtel,
    Reina,
    Doni (?),
    Wilson,
    Aurelio,
    New LB (?),
    Ngog,
    Kuyt,
    Lucas,
    Meireles,
    Aquilani,
    Shelvey,
    Spearing,
    Maxi,
    Downing,
    Henderson,
    Adam,
    Wisdom.

Providing Maxi and Aurelio don't leave anyway. I suspect Cole etc.. will leave so I've left them out of the squad.

You can't have Wisdom in the 25 man squad,as he's under 21.Danny Wilson can't be in the 25 man squad either for the same reason.Neither can Shelvey.

I think there's more chance of Aurelio going than Cole now. Fab's on a rolling contract and his injuries aren't going to diminish, whereas Cole has started pre-season on a roll and if he keeps it up and redicovers the form he can have then not being able to offload him might not be such a problem. When he's on-form he's at least as good as Maxi and we'd rather keep him, right?

What is the rule again? Homegrown U21 are not in the 25 man squad but can play. Confused!

I think you can have homegrown Under 21's in your squad. I believe you can have as many as you want and they don't count towards the 25 man squad.

I'm not 100% sure though so don't shout at me if i'm wrong! :p

only a month to get rid of all the deadwood and acutally bring in quality players? not sure we gonna do it especailly since we have wasted 75 million on dross already.

    lets see

    ngog 2 million
    lucas 5 mill
    poulsen free
    aquilani 10 mill
    cole 3 mill
    flanagan free
    aurelio 2 mill
    spearing free

if we can get these sold maybe that will give us 20+ million to spend and lower the wage bill a lot. bring in mata and that french LD.

only a month to do it though i doubt it

This is from WAKKA2 from the Arsenal board.

"gerrard is/was much better, a complete midfeilder who could do anything, i think the only positions he hasnt played in for liverpool are GK and LD, scored in every major domestic and european cup final, player and young player of the year awards, twice scored goal of season, MBE, captained winning champions league team, and even as a liverpool fan he has carried a pretty mediocre team for years, virtually winning trophies and getting consistant top 4 on his own. scholes is a good player but he just cant do what gerrard does "

I'm very confused about who he supports.

FIFA scrapped the 6+5 rule, the PL are bringing in an 8-homegrown rule and FIFA are believed to be planning a 9-man homegrown in any match day squad rule.

Young players like Insua who've been at a club for three years did count as homegrown but the rule seems to be a dynamic in motion.

They can be in the squad, it's just they dont count as part of the 25.

    I think!
