No its not, we accept a fee for a player. He then goes to the club and discusses wages. its his agent's job to get the best deal for him, nothing to do with us. If he decides that he doesn't want to go because he isn't getting paid as much, great for him. We have no control over what Sheff United offer so why should we pay the difference. If he wants to stay and not play, then it is just as much a drain on our wages if he goes. So why not just keep him then.
To me its quite simple he has a contract lets say for 10k a week until next June Blades want him are prepared to pay 500k but will only pay him 5k a week difference is 250k less the 5% he would receive for not asking for A TRANSFER = 25k SO we would recieve250k and Sharp would receive 250k or we sell him to a higher biddersay Wigan for instance who may pay him more money
Problem is that hes obviously not attracting offers from Championship clubs so if he drops a division, the wages on offer will be a pittance. Maybe Im wrong, but didnt we offer him a decent salary to get him in the first place
