How do you know its 12 of the confirmed 18...? It could be outsiders voting

 

I like that idea but on the flip side, every investigation carried out by town would become questionable. It would be like the Drunk cop only having a 66% chance of success. The percentage would be high at the start; 94.2% with eighteen players and excluding yourself from the calculation and decrease by 5.8% with each dying player. Unless the Don is lynched of course.

 

I probably wouldn't have used it until later but that always runs the risk of not getting to use it at all. Using it early ensures the Mafia team recruit and offers the best chance of avoiding the SK or SZ etc but I don't agree a four man team early on is a good thing. The more players in the Mafia team, the easier it becomes to make mistakes and leave clues. Also, I believe the key to these games when playing as a Mafia member is confusion; save the recruit until the town have worked out two or three roles then use it to cast doubt on the things they knew.

 

yes confusion is good and of primary import.

I think however skill is the key to now dropping clues. the most skilled efforts i've seen have been bad guys (nev and TGE) who placed themselves as good guys.

In the end the function of non roel town is not only to figure the whole thing out but also to be the hiding place for all roles.

have 4 in the mafia right at the outset means ok they can find you easier BUT only slightly it gives a wider array of things to do.

I've not yet seen a real good split if mafia strategies yet. i've seen a lot of latching onto other stuff

I' not going to mess round too much with the rules. Not touching the other roles as the idea was not to tweek too much and play it again.

plus the no role got zero so that says enough. of the toher two the easiest is just to give the don a bit more powers.

 

I did that on night one of the last game (Mason's even mentioned recruiting me) but for someone's crazy antics

I pegged swarbs in that game the night i got out. I also had nev down as being far far far too helpful to my blatent suicide attempt.
