Reassuringly, we seem to have put in a few 2 mil bids for players, so at least Steves is being realistic regarding the kind of players we need and what they cost

Worryingly we are yet to land any, so AG is not exactly seen as the promised land like we thought it would be

Would be a good purchase but think it's a non goer, a bit like the Maguire bid

Sounds like we're pretty ****ed then. If we don't sign someone by the end of the week, I think that anyone we do end up signing is going to be a panic buy.

I can't see Cotts or SL panicking, but we may end up with loan players instead of permanent signings.

Well, it's certainly time to panic! As things stand, unless we're going to promote a bunch of youth team players we don't have enough players to fill our subs bench. We have a good six or seven less players than any other team in the Championship.

If we don't sign players soon we're ****ed. Hell, a lot of other teams have been using the loan market already, so we're not going to have our pick of the litter once the transfer window closes.

If we don't sign at least three players by the time the season starts we're going to look really stupid.

Something seems very very strange here,no signings, the majority of teams in the championship ready to rumble.

We do not even have a team to fill the bench.

    Gotta say i am concerned:angry::angry::angry:

Hulls transfer activity, yet they are one of the favourites

    Signings None

Outs - Tom Ince, Steve Harper, Mark Oxley, Paul McShane, Liam Rosenior, Maynor Figueroa, Stephen Quinn, Johnny Margetts, Yannick Sagbo, Joe Dudgeon.

There's still time, for all we know we could be speaking to 4-6 players as I type this. Lets panick a week before August 5th

I find it strange that Cotts hasn't made a comment about the lack of transfer activity.

From that I can only assume that we are just a couple of days away from an influx.
I can't believe that we are being super arrogant about our chances. I mean, Cotterill is not stupid and neither are the directors or coaching staff.

We need signings not loanees if we are going to build a squad that can challenge at the top.

There's no chance in hell we can challenge at the top with our current squad. We're weaker than we were last season, not just through depth, but as we've lost some key players.

If I weren't a City fan, I would put a tenner on us to go down if they don't sign someone before the start of the new season.

they had to offload, coming down, but sitting now on a big pile of cash

The knock effect is prem signs loads and get a surplus so offload to champs either as free's cost ya's or loanee's and that wont happen for a week or 2 so yes our first couple of games looks like the team that ended last season without Wade and Jet and Agard .....

Reading have signed Goalkeeper Ali Al-Habsi on a two-year deal after he was released by Wigan.
A keeper I really rated a couple of years ago. Would have liked to have seen him come here.
