In the Sun this morning it was reported that he was unhappy that there had been 3 managers during the time he had at Spurs. Maybe he has just found out that we had 5 in less than 1 year.
Well we have also got 2 midfielders in as well plus Abdi/Watson so would the guy be a certain starter?
Quite probably and only read the headlines and the pants story that's on the BBC site. Get Gomes to give him a hug! Or get AG in after all.
On the internet we learn of many footballers saying no to Watford. All the reasons can not be the same but could Watford as the new kids on hte block and are favourites to be relegated be a large factor. Many are not playing in their present companies first teams and say they want regular football which Watford offer but are they worried that they will have to try harder?
most promoted teams have the same problem, bit weird really, if you have a relegation release clause there's a chance for a bonus pay day the following season
Many of those players have never been of interest to us. It is just agent or paper talk. Others that are on our radar want to see out the window to take the best deal. And then there are those that do turn us down which is not many.
According to reports from Gazzetta dello Sport, Watford are putting the feelers out for AS Roma forward Gervinho. The Ivory Coast international is seen as one of the Serie A side’s key players but during the last campaign he never hit the heights of his first year in Italy. Gervinho started in 21 of Roma’s Serie A games last season but only managed to score 2 goals. Watford owner Gino Pozzo has been busy in the transfer window in the past week and has already brought in Gervi...nho’s Roma teammate Jose Holebas. Watford are looking to bring in players to compete in the Premier League after gaining promotion last season, and are targeting a number of players from Italy including the former Arsenal star. Watford would initially request to take the player on loan for a season with a mandatory redemption in the clause for a transfer fee in the region of €14m. Another Serie A player Watford are chasing is Inter Milan midfielder Saphir Taider, who had a brief spell with Southampton last season. Pozzo has been in discussions with Inter Milan sporting director Piero Ausilo with regards to the English side signing Taider this summer. The player is surplus to requirements with the Serie A side and is no longer in the plans of manager Roberto Mancini after they recently brought in AS Monaco midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia More and more rumours... but these may have more substance
