Right, I'm off to Nice "early doors" tomorrow until Friday for my first holiday in 7 years. That does mean I won't be on here though, which will feel odd, and I'm sure you'll miss me terribly of course! But by the time I get back, I expect at least three more signings please!

I always promise myself I'll go off grid when I have a holiday, but football always intrudes and I sneak online at least once . If you've not been before, check out Monument aux Morts, its spectacular and beautiful...graveyards aren't everybody's cup of tea but I find them very relaxing and peaceful - probably because the residents are so quiet

I've just finished watching "Beasts of the Southern Wild" again, its an amazing film with a brilliant cast if you've never seen it. Quvenzhane Wallis puts in the best performance I have ever seen by a child in any film, she should have won the Oscar she was nominated for, and completely dominates the film. Sheer genius
Well this could get interesting. A tornado watch has been issued where I am and for pretty much the whole of the south east of Minnesota. Severe thunderstorms are almost certainly going to hit here tonight which means hail the size of golf balls hurricane force gales and tornadoes are expected to form it's just a case of where.
Apparently supposed to wear a shirt, tie and jacket...he was wearing a floral shirt, jeans and a trilby. So only a near miss No Ashes, no Wimbledon....the day is a b****y desert.
Just discovered I bought peaches instead of nectarines. Hate the ones in fluffy jumpers. This day is going downhill fast.
