Well another one anyway. Listening to some of TMS on Friday around tea-time and Blowers (Henry Blofeld) announced that he had something in common with Stephen Fry and he went on to say that it was a shared love of Norwich City. how he enjoyed the beating of the Boro and the Tractor boys to their evenyual promotion. It was another little gem on what was a good day at Cardiff.
He was educated at Sunningdale School and Eton, followed by Cambridge U. His dad was at Cambridge with Ian Fleming hence "Blowfeld" in a Bond book. Born at Hoveton.
Was meant to be a joke, he may have been born in Norfolk, but everything else about him is "Upper Class!"
I thought that it was meant that way Dave but ducked out at the end. Sorry, took a thick pill that day (again!)
Is that not a definition of celebrity Zogean? It is a tiresome adjective and applies to any dick these days. Typical of this nonsense was the non-story yesterday(widely reported by all media) that Lewis Hamilton was not allowed into Wimbledon because he was not wearing a jacket and tie. This was reported because Mr Hamilton is a celebrity! No he isn't, he is a racing driver FFS! Media, press etc. GROW UP!
We've got the top female celebrity chef whose cash saved the club, one of the most erudite men on the planet on our board and Wolverine FFS. What more do people want!!! TBF we also have Jake Humphries and Ed Balls but what can you do...... I was delighted that Hamilton got refused entry. Even if he is incapable of reading and understanding the dress code for the Royal Box then surely he is rich enough to have a minion capable of explaining it to him.
