aging, and slow. not what we need with Thudd looking like he`ll be staying, we need mobile units in midfield
Brady not likely to be here the way things are going, Meyler has no pace and Elmo is a winger/ wingback... no legs in central midfield
We don't need them, thanks to our daft formation we just give the ball to the WB's and they lump it into the box.
we needed them last season when we had little to no pace and teams just closed us down then ran past us, what makes you think next season is going to be any different
I am underwhelmed with that thought to be fair. Any credence to the source, as it sounds obvious enough for an average newspaper hack to link us too?.
It wont, but then most of the goals we conceded were supplied from the wide areas, I don't think CM is too much of a problem once Diame gets fit again. We'll obviously sign one, but we're probably going to play 3-5-2, which means lots of wing play and very little passing through the middle (groan).
a lot of our goals were also caused by slow build up and being caught in possession then not having the legs to get back. Thudd was a prime candidate for that so many times last season. If we`re going to continue using him as the `quaterback` then he needs the legs around him to cover, and to give him options, alas we were very one paced last season. Unless this is rectified given the Championship is much faster then the Premier League then I suspect we`ll struggle.
