What's happening with this kid? Thought he'd be looking at breaking through this year the way people were raving about him few years ago. What other kids are there close to breaking through? O'Connell looked decent the few games he's had, comfortable on the ball too and we had Tierney play a few but who else is there??
Pretty sure Ronny has been giving most of them a run out in pre-season so far. You'd hope that if any catch the eye they'll get a chance. Was reading the other day he's got the all the squads playing and training in the same style as the first-team. Should have been doing that years ago, as that's what all teams with successful youth academies do.
Etims had a few quotes about Ronny going to the academy, making sure stand out players are sent to the first team to train with them etc... Stuff we were to short sighted to do before because of the arms race with Rangers See, their death was good for the game
With everything that's been implemented and once it all comes in to place, we'll be out of reach from all in the Scottish game, possibly forever. 10-In-A-Row will be enjoyable, but 20-In-A-Row will probably be a bit boring.
That's all we can ask for, BAD.
