My favourite Schweinsteiger moment by far though:

Yeah, having by far the best youth team players in the country but never giving a single one a game is a tad frustrating.

4 of the last 6 Youth FA Cups ffs!!! and they still can't get a game

 

Good cup team, I think we just won the league though

The youth leagues and cups are confusing. Always changing how it works. United are currently Champions of something at youth level. I think its the league (replaced the reserve league?).

I dont think our kids play in youth CL either. Probably because they get game time in the first team. This may have changed in recent years though.

 

They will have a chance, Lord van Gaal, says so, Jose says no to his kids

 

**** the buying for the future! The future may not happen. The RS have been buying for the future for the last 25 years and look what happened to them.

We've not been buying for the future since fergie left. Once we have a top team, then we can think of the future. Not before!

 

If he stays injury free, he's still world class. Glad to have a player of his ability in the PL.

 

No wum but Mceachran going to Brentford is disappointing. Shame he couldnt make it at the top level. Bertrand imo could have had a future at chelsea though.

 

As well as Jimmy Smith, Thorgan Hazard, Gael Kakuta, plus the soon to be gone Lewis Baker and Patrick Bamford.
And that's just the tip of the iceberg

 

Is he a box to box MF or more a playmaker?

 

Well I remember early on he started as a DM, but then I think he was moved forward to more of a playmaker role, good vision and passing range.

 

Not really a box to box imo. Playmaker yes.

If we get Schneiderlin he'll be more box to box.

 

Hes a 6 or 8 but theres no way he will play b2b for us. Schneiderlin would be far better suited to that role and then Herrera.

Schweinsteiger will play Carricks role imo. His age, ability and experience mean it makes most sense.

A 31 year old b2b midfielder?

 

Schweinsteiger, Herrera, mata, Di Maria, Fellaini,carrick, Schneiderlin: the midfield looks a bit better than last years.

Now to sort out the strike force !

 

We haven't signed Schneiderlin yet. And seeing Fellaini in there brought up a little bile tbh.

 

Way to harsh on Fellaini you. We've had far far worse players in the team before. At oeast he stepped up and made himself useful last season. He cant do much else really.

Im sure he will be a bit part player going forward but I always havr time for any player who proves people wrong.

 

He deserved credit where it was due. But other than that he's simply not good enough. So he didnt prove anyone wrong. He's certainly not in the same league as the other players mentioned there.
