Just under two months since QPR signed off in the Barclays Premier League, Chris Ramsey’s men are set to go again in their first fixture of the pre-season campaign. Game time is probable for most of the players who have travelled to Rangers’ training camp in Stresa, northern Italy, with local outfit Verona Stars the opponents later today, kick-off 4pm BST. Last season’s top scorer for the R’s, Charlie Austin, only trained for the first time this pre-season on Thursday, and won’t be risked. Midfielder Leroy Fer will also sit out for the same reason. This evening's match is being played at Stadio Comunale di Dormelletto – via Tesio – Dormelletto, 28040. Supporters are advised that the nearest train station is Largo Duca D’Aosta-Arona, Arona, 28041, which is 2km from the stadium. Re: WATCH: The game will be streamed live for QPR PlayerHDsubscribers After the season we all just suffered, would be nice if they treated us to a freebie like last year?
Nice to see all those new faces get a run out, including Samba Diakite - perhaps he's got his head together and will be our ace in the hole this coming season?
I've tuned in to the HD player and got about 5 mins of the players warming up...looks like they are giving the away kit a run out and the stream has just gone dead ! whoops hang on its back !
No commentary but we are 2-0 up after 8 mins, I think its Kpekawa , first was shot from edge of box in off the post from a short free kick. Then a minute later he was in the box on his own and fired homefrom about 8 yds out .
We are playing against a really poor side, but most of the players are looking good. Samba has missed a lot of passes but looks like he may well be the best "signing" of the summer.
I personally prefer to play the first few friendlies where you have the opportunity to bang a few in. It's good for confidence. Whereas getting whooped by teams much better than you has the reverse effect.
