Who would have thought there would be an Aussie batting collapse at Sophia Gardens? The World’s best batman has looked surprisingly ordinary in Wales – just 33 in both innings.

As my first three selections have won, I am now on SENNOCKIAN STAR (12/1) in the ‘Magnet Cup’ (York 3:25) and I have also gone for SPACE AGE (9/4) in the Ascot 5:05 as he may be a Group horse in a handicap (holds Great Voltigeur entry).

Chan and Dayo - all the best with the job hunting. I got laid off in the early 90s and it was the best thing that ever happened to me - inadvertantly started my German odyssey :)

Well it started well but finished badly. I make that an enormous profit of 5 points

My winning run just came to an end at York, but hopefully I can start a new one just after 5pm...

Went in here with Muhaarar. Reproduction of Ascot and he wins.

Nice tricast if anybody had Muhaarar to beat Tropics (25/1) and Eastern Impact (50/1). You could buy a Big Issue with the £1.91 and just pocket the £2,000.

Bad luck to connections of Tropics, they deserved to win the July Cup!

Missed the break and couldn't get near the front afterwards. The 3YO winner did it well but a very eye-catching run from HM Queen's horse - was out the back with Squire till they came off the final bend and made up many lengths in the straight.

Can pick them when I don't bet any money on the race. Which is always the way!

Better luck next time with Squire though guys, missing the break didn't help him today, as he's better from the front

"Dwelt and impeded start, took keen hold, held up in last pair, ridden and no progress over 2f out, stayed on inside final furlong." I think we can ignore that run. But hopefully the handicapper won't.
