Janmaat is one of my picks this season for standing out. He's settled now and has a full pre-season under his belt. He is too good for that back four now but add some quality and you might see your first ever decent defensive line up in your life as a toon fan! Coloccini probably has a year left in him if he's got a quality centre half alongside him. You need a new centre half and hope that kid does well you signed from Forest as back up. Left back you should be going for a bit more experience I think. Newcastle and Sunderland could steer well clear this season of the drop, looking at the managerial set up now compared with last season if I was a supporter of either club I'd be much more relaxed.
I can't see either team looking over their shoulders too much this season. You guys are kicking on a bit too. Depay is a great signing for you.
For me Newcastle need a centre back, a left back, a winger and a striker. Then maybe a couple of versatile players to beef up the squad. Fund it by selling Sissoko who is garbage. If I was being greedy, I'd actually say 2 centre halves and a keeper, but I'd be absolutely over the moon if we got quality in the positions above.
And Schweinsteiger, he's a banger! Starting to like the look of our squad again, we ain't finished either, RVP is off, Falcao has gone and Hernandes isn't wanted so I'd expect at least one striker in.
