Rumours from the Daily Fail is that Villa will use the Downing money to buy N'Zog later today.

Just came on Sky sports that we put a 4mil bid in but this time it was from the Times.

Let's hope this is true and we're actually showing interest, if we're starting a bidding war with Villa best to start it at a low sum.

I'd quite like Zog back. I hope we get him. He's a quality player and there's no denying that he'll add some serious ability to our wings.

Downing is English, and isn't worth that much.

Okay by that logic then..If Tiote was worth £3.5m? then how can N'Zogbia be worth £4m!?

    Think 'Sports Direct' mentality.

Was £10 million. Now £4 million! 60% off!! Only this week.

as he's a bit moody and tends to do what he wants, maybe he fancies it up here rather than the brum penal colony.

on another note, got to laugh at bent now, when he went to villa he said he was looking forward to getting on the end of youngs / downings crosses :emoticon-0102-bigsm

    cheeky bid for bent anyone?

Can't see it myself like, as Blackburn will struggle and Wigan will struggle big time if they lose N'Zogbia and possibly even Rodallega.

Well, the £10m will have been over the odds given the timing (last few hours of transfer window - no time to replace him etc), and that Wigan will have known we had the Carroll money. Also, he now has only 12 months left on his contract not 18. So yes £4m seems a bit low, but it's got to be something less than £10m I reckon.

Also take into account that Wigan may still owe NUFC money for N'Zog as well... and perhaps we get something from the sell on clause ;)
