    It's like Morgan is sitting on a shelf in the supermarket with a full price sticker. People want him, but are waiting till late in the day and hoping a sale sticker will go on him. This is difficult for us, because he will remain on sale until the window closes. The pity is that we can't just say that we've waited long enough and remove him from sale...must be a problem for Ron.

    More likely United are dragging their heels. If they can get the deal late enough it will possibly mean saints will not be able to get a decent replacement. That will make saints less of a threat next season if they can't. It could just be a bit mischief......

    Much as I adore Saints, I don't think United view us as their major adversary. They have offered what they think is Morgan's worth to them...now it's all in limbo because we won't take that. United could still be interested or they could have moved onto other targets at a price they are willing to pay.

    It would appear that Manure have transferred their attention back to Bastian Pigsticker, so where does that leave Spider? Arse don't seem to need him, PSG the only option?

    Good interview. I like the communication balance the club has at the moment.
    Keeping tight lipped when negotiations are in progress, but happy to give full disclosure after the event.

    Obviously this can be frustrating for fans and can lead to a lot of conjecture(see Toby thread), but ultimately the correct and professional way.

    All fits with the open and honest aims that the Kat/Kreuger regime hoped to introduce.

    The problem is that we still have sceptics who are calling Les a liar, what does he have to do to convince those that aren't listening? Buying Messi, Gale and Ronaldo might be a start........

    Tbh, anything Reed says should be greeted with extreme skepticism. If he messed up, he'd hardly admit it. Or he may genuinely believe he did what he could, but he is wrong. He is clearly not an objective source.

    Which isn't to impugn Reed. I suspect he is sometimes wrong, because he's human. And I suspect he lies, because that is part of the job.

    I have no idea what happened to make Alderweireld choose Spurs, and I no longer care. It is over.

    All we can do as fans is hope that the product on the pitch is good. And as much as I distrust Reed's sweet nothings, he has always delivered.

    If I was Reed, I certainly wouldn't read any forum....your head would explode. Be sufficient to get someone to check the current feeling of the fans and give him a weekly graph showing levels of delusion, hysteria and psychosis.
