Instead of crying about everything the Trust, or anyone that hasn't dealt with this flag has done, how about you do something, or at least suggest it yourself?

    Did someone kick your kitten?

I'm not crying, far from it, and I'm certainly not just sat on my thumb waiting for someone else to sort my problems. I've also taken the time to look into what others are up to.

You're happy with what may or may not be happening, why fear others discussing it too?

It really is bizarre that some get so protective and defensive if someone suggests that we could all do something to help protect the club.

I never understand that attitude.....surely if you ant the trust to represent your views you should join it.

You cannot say it's not a supporters trust because it doesn't represent all supporters (if they all joined it could). It is still a supporters trust as the membership are all Hull City Supporters

I'd argue it's the other way round.

If the Trust want to use the Hull City Supporters name, the onus us on them to demonstrate that they're seriously listening to Hull City Supporters and representing them. They've said they don't do that and only represent their members and therfore represent a minority of Hull City Supporters, and then only on limited issues.

I did take the time to get involved with the Trust to an extent, so it's not simply idle chatter.

If your argument is that you need to be a member to comment, then should only passholders comment on Hull City?

All of that is a bit of a red herring though. Trust or not, the goal of all fans should be to look at ways of dealing with the current issues affecting us.

If the Trust's agenda limits that, maybe their's an option for another group to take on those bits, providing it doesn't generate further disharmony.

A strong group should welcome constructive criticism and discussion. The fact so many get defensive towards what should be seen as positive discussion displays a weakness in the Trust.

We have been here before, the HCST and the OSC are groups of comparativly small numbers of Hull City supporters but they will be the ones who get asked by the media and the club ( i wish ) for the supporters views.
Just as if the local media do a story on cycling they will ask a local cycling club for an opinion and if the BBC in London are doing a motoring story they would go to the AA or RAC to get a motorists perspective.

It seems to be a modern day thing, people expect an umberella group or organisation to exactly represent their personal view point, when in fact said group has to satisfy a wide range of opinions from extreme to moderate.

The HCST is what it is, maybe because it was reborn by some of those formally involved with CTWD. that has steered the trust in a direction which some people will disagree with.

However as the name change is not likely to go away until the Allams have gone the trust will always be fighting an uphill battle when some supporters have the view that the Allams bought the club and can do whatever they want.

I just did ask and I'm not upset or being defensive about anything, I'm completely open to any suggestions you, or anyone else, has about addressing the issue of not having the name Hull City on anything.

I think that's our most pressing issue currently, but I wouldn't just limit it to that, I'm completely open to any ideas anyone has on any other issues, ideas for increasing membership, ideas for things we should be tackling but are not currently, absolutely anything at all.

We can only claim to represent our members, but we hope that the things we do will be for the benefit of all Hull City fans and that over time more fans will get to see those benefits and will become members. In the meantime, as I stated already, I'm happy to hear anyone's opinion on any Hull City issue.

It looks like you're the one blubbing. My argument's not really anything to do with the Trust and I've said time and again, the evictions themselves are dealt with.

Mind you, if those affected had received help, rather than people selfishly leaving fellow City fans to it, maybe we could have had a more United front now, butnwhat's done is done.

    You need to move on.

Again, the trust itself is pretty much meaningless to the point.
I don't expect them to take up my personal point, in fact I wouldn't want them to, I prefer to do that sort of thing myself.

The issue is more dealing with the issues at hand as a united fan base, which at the moment we're not doing.

Okay, here's a suggestion that covers most of that.

Why not try encouraging discussion about what can be done regarding the erosion of the name?

I don 't mean you sit there as arbiter of what could work, but to give people an opportunity to put vague concepts forward that others can build on. It would be a non - Trust discussion, with possibly even a non - trust outcome.

Up to now anything close to that has stalled because they just degenerate into people second guessing motives and resort to abuse as this thread has.

This should be about tackling the issues, in this case the erosion of the name. Everything else, such as you, me, the trust is irrelevant.

It's unfortunate, but the abuse and attitude so far to such things has left some people that are liable to have good contributions, unwilling to join in. Hopefully, if they see genuine free flowing discussion, they'll feel able to help.

Let's face it, help is definitely needed.

I've asked anyone with any suggestions to post them, the floor is open.

I'm not judging anything, I'm just listening, as you say this issue affects trust and non-trust members alike, there's no need for it to be a trust issue at all, it's a debate anyone could have started.

I'll start off with one idea that's already been mentioned, a rebadging service for shirts, is this a service people would be interested in?

I reckon there would be some market in that, I know some that already do it themselves.

A poster on Amber Nectar produced the 'irrelevant' tee shirts that were popular.

There was a suggestion made last year that perhaps there's a market for unofficial merchandise, not just protest shirts, but City stuff too? The 'unofficial' part could be the marketing tag.

    'Unofficial promotions'

A part of the profit could go towards the fighting fund.

If there was a demand, it would help demonstrate the potential in the Hull City name and weaken the argument for the continued erosion of it.

It sounds tacky, but I know someone that let an art student loose on their trainers, and they redesigned them to a tiger theme. They looked fantastic in my view.

Lots of us are critical about how the club is marketed, if we were in the position, how would we go about marketing the Hull City brand?

If we could get some ideas into action, it all undermines the erosion and promotes the club at the same time.
