No point listening, the man makes no sense. Remember the farcical press conference a few months ago where he waffled on spouting rubbish & someone really should have wheeled him off for his Ovaltine. Quite how this man has amassed such a fortune baffles me. He still does not understand that you do not run a football club in the same way you run a company making diesel engines. Football clubs have life long fans who are emotionally connected to the club, something Allam has never been & will never be.
He's probably responding to the Yorkshire Post item which suggests the FA will give the name change the go ahead tomorrow RIP Hull City
Has he been on? I listened to local radio thinking it meant that. I guess it's not that important, it's a safe bet people will grumble whatever he says.
I haven't whined about him being questioned, I've simply pointed out that some will whinge and whine no matter what he says, as this thread shows. As for your 'analogy' thee difference is, not many people are waiting to hear what you say, or what people say about it.
Of course we'll whinge and whine whatever he says. Firstly he always talks ****e and secondly, we desperately don't want to lose our identity. Why on Earth would we expect a reasonable interview from Assem Allam?????
Seems a waste of energy setting out to whinge and whine. It also weakens the arguments against the key issues as they get lost amongst the whines and imagined or invented sleights. They just get dismissed as 'just' more whining or made up grievences. Several of the longer whinge threads turned out to be wrong anyway. There's surely more constructive ways to deal with things.
Most certainly. Maybe a bit radical, but broad discussion and taking on board varied views from City fans could be a start. It's got tobe better than whining and inventing things that turn out to be misleading.
They were sometimes pointed out at the time, other times they were just left to pass. They clutter the board up then, cluttering up another thread seems counter productive, given the aim should be unity. Hopefully those guilty will know and have sense and respect City enough to have learned and moved on. Open discussion on the actual issues, with a view to finding out from fans what they feel could help progress things seems a far better use of time now.
There has never been any reasonable arguement for the key issue of the name change. The best offered is "he saved us, he's rich, he can do what he likes, he'll leave if he doesn't get his own way, we'll end up in the Conference if he leaves, he's successful, it's his business plan he doesn't have to show anybody it, blah, blah, blah"
