My least favourite phrase in British racing 'Heritage Handicap'.

Arod to win the Summer Mile.

Best of luck Stick and the Don with Squire who i hope scoots in for you boys.

Heritage Handicap is a perfect anagram of Bookies Benefit <ok> (in Swahili, so I'm told)

Hate them as well - I could back half the field and still not find the winner, especially over 7F, a distance I hate - neither sprinters nor milers, just something invented for the all weather which is now worthy of G1 status <doh>

Cheers fellas. He had a week off after Sandown as we had been to the well a few times. He came back in bucking and squealing. He did two serious pieces of work this week on Sat and Wed and looked as good as ever. He coughed a few times after work on Weds but we thought it was the dry dust in the air so we had him scoped on Thurs morning and it was all clear.
We fancy we can reverse placings with Solo Hunter from Sandown and the only one we really fear is the Godolphin as that horse really still could be anything. 12-1 in opening shows and we feel that's a knocking good each way bet!
We will be having a close inspection of the Ascot ground as we suspect they haven't watered that much. If its too firm wewouldnt risk jarring him up.

Good luck to you all this weekend

Good luck lads with Squire, if he runs. Nice to see precautionary measures being taken. Looks a tough race but he is improving so fingers crossed. Think Ahead should set a strong gallop which should suit Squire. His staying power and battling qualities could well see him running on into a place again. Have a great day.

Squire looks to have a tall order off that mark tomorrow. I think the handicapper could have been kinder to him after his last run. Raising him up a couple of pounds after finishing 3rd. 8 pounds above his last winning mark.

I'd agree Think Ahead could be thrown in here, and I'd also be worried about River Dart who won on handicap debut last time out, I think there is plenty more to come from him aswell.

I genuinely hope Squire proves me wrong tomorrow, but racing against lightly raced horses in handicaps is often a tall order.

Best of luck though guys

All the best for Squire (if he runs) and if he runs have a word with that Qatari twat about the ****ing World Cup. Tell him to give it to a country with a football heritage - how about Italy? Be a chance for them to finally fill their stadia.

No give it to us, the Italians had it only 25 years ago, we've been nearly 50 years without it, and we've got better stadiums than they have

Olly will have 4 winners today or 4 losers, hopefully the former. Gamesome, Heisman, Lightning Spear, Lightning Thunder.

All 4 are very classy and have been teasing big wins, Lightning Spear is a ****ing beast, seen it on the gallops too so rapid. Lightning Thunder should get back to winning ways in that average 3pm chester race, Heisman should sail home today as he's on a big upward curve, and it's long overdue for Gamesome to win a big handicap.

    9/1, 11/2, 4/1, 9/1 respectively

And almost double their wins for the season Chelsea? Hmmm.

Good luck stick and don, if you see the prat in his yellow jacket, can you ask him to sell Shackled N Drawn to Ruth Carr?
