Ben Gibson is highly sought after. George Friend is a splendid player, very much in the mould of Robertson in actual fact - he was a former target of Steve Bruce. Baptiste is a decent and proven signing at this level. Their defence is also extremely well coached. So yes. My opinion is that Boro have the best defence in the Championship.

The QPR three you've got there is unquestionably the best in the championship but I'd expect Fer not to stay there and possibly could see Sandro going.
I've said repeatedly we'll see if we get better than Quinn, I'm happy to look a fool if we do, but we just won't. The left of the three is still a central midfielder, it's not a position I've ever seen Brady play, and I don't think he could. Aluko & Bruce certainly couldn't. Didn't Swansea beat Arsenal twice last season. I guess that's that then, Swansea obviously have a better midfield then Arsenal... Come on, be serious, what a stupid thing to say. Even if it had any validity, no, we didn't beat that midfield once last season. None of Fer, Sandro or Luongo played a single minute against us last season, making your point even more complete twaddle. Fair enough if you still think our midfield is the best in the league, but I think you're suffering delusions bordering upon Tickler-levels and you're in for a rude awakening.

I wouldn't be surprised if Fer went too, but at this moment in time I'd say they were their best three. We could just as easily see Huddlestone and Brady leave, but those two have been included, despite the fact one of them isn't even a central midfielder. Unlike us, QPR have a bit of back-up there, in Faurlin, Diakite and, even though I don't rate him, Henry.
So now you want to take a view on a different Boro defence, one after they've sold all their good defenders. You're arguing for argument's sake, son. I'm out.
