Will love to see how you manage with a player who doesn't want to be there. It can have a negative effect on the rest of the dressing room, especially if it's one of your talismanic players.

You've just posted that on your board...if he comes he comes, if not it's rattled your cage and your team spirit.

There are others within range, he rocks your world but could be useful in ours...

Modric is not a Mancini type of player btw...

Man city already have Yaya Toure in the position that modric would likely play, for that reason I dont see why the would want Modric as he wouldnt improve them much at all in that area.

Daniel Levy is clearly one of those slimey weasel type of characters. Ive said before he risks looking very silly if he backs down on his statement that "Luka Modric will not be sold". Keeping a unhappy player against his will has the potential to cause a number of problems.

If we do get him then great, he is a really gifted clever player. But even if we dont, seeing all the spuds squirm and chuck thier toys out of the pram in recent weeks has been entertainment enough. :emoticon-0110-tongu

I am wary of Modric's motives. Maybe he wants to move for footballing reasons, but I suspect he probably wouldn't be so keen if he was offered the same wage, which of course he wouldn't be, he might not be so vocal about moving. I am sure of one thing though, if Modric stays at Spurs the management and his team mates there will be able to cajole him back to a high state of performance. We shouldn't judge all players by the Gallas Standard.

£30 million will not tempt Levy to change his mind. £40 million would probably make him consider selling Modric, but only on the basis that we get in someone to replace in. £50 million and you're talking.

One thing that Levy is very good at doing is screwing money out of rich and desperate clubs.

I'd rather we didn't sell Modric, even if he has handed in a transfer request (which has not yet been confirmed). As Levy told him, he'll be dumped in the reserves for the rest of his contract, rather than be sold to a rival. He won't earn any bonuses that way, nor will he be part of the glory that we may win.

Clubs need to started to remind players that contracts mean what they say.

Berbatov, a £29 million last minute transfer to United after similar "I will not let him go" Levy rant! As for desperate, United and Chelsea who between them have monopolised the Premier league over the last 7 years, we are quite happy to be classed as such by a club whose only tangible success was 50 years ago <laugh>

Your poor showing against Pompey today, when you could only muster a 0-1 (own goal) win against a Championship side, demonstrates just how jaded your side is and how bereft of creativity. It's clear that you are desperate for a player of the quality of our Moddy, and Levy will screw above top dollar out of the Russian for him.

    Mark my words.

Do not use words like 'dodgy' unless you have irrefutable proof to the contrary.<ok>

This post just screams 'I don't have a clue about football' judging a teams up and coming season by their pre season and especially only the second game isn't the brightest idea. Yes, I know that White Hot Lane doesn't care for facts or reality (as Spurs losing 1-0 to the mighty Kaiser Chiefs will attest) and that he will use anything to post snidey, WUM drivel.

An excellent summary of someone who is proving to be a proper charlie.

I have spent a bit of time on the Spurs board this week and they aren't all like him...honest<ok>

Did you notice the word moderator under my name? That's what gives me the right, I don't have any issues with good hearted banter but will not allow slander or libel or racism in any form.

Not blinkered but if your going to make claims of that nature you should have the relevant proof! You can scream all you wish but it won't be on here<ok>

At £40 million I would want Bale thrown in too, I think we should continue our interest in Modric until the last minute so he really hates Levy for denying him the chance to play at a big club. This way we destabilise your best player and pick him up cheap next season for it is only a matter of time. :)

Your post screams "Look at me! Look at me! I'm wearing a dress, mum! Does that make me a bad boy?"

But you don't hear me making a song and dance about that, do you?
