The Tigers are delighted to unveil Flamingo Land as their new shirt sponsor for the 2015/16 season. The new and exciting partnership with the North Yorkshire based resort will see the Flamingo Land brand feature on the front of the 2015/16 kits for the Sky Bet Championship season with the home kit being revealed on Monday (13.7.15). The agreement was concluded earlier this week with Flamingo Land’s Chief Executive Gordon Gibb meeting with Tigers Commercial Manager Simon King to complete the deal. “It is an honour to welcome Flamingo Land as our new shirt sponsor and we look forward to building a successful relationship with the resort, initially for this season but hopefully for the long term,” said Simon King. Commercial Manager Simon King added: “Flamingo Land is a great asset to tourism in Yorkshire with a real family ethos which we feel is the perfect fit for the Club. The partnership will be fun and will provide both parties with the opportunity to interact with each other's core followers to ensure the supporters also benefit from this new deal.” Flamingo Land’s Chief Executive Gordon Gibb added: “Since Flamingo Land’s initial meetings with the Club and our subsequent agreement, it has become abundantly clear that we are both Premiership quality! Flamingo Land is very excited about the future and is confident that we will both have fantastic seasons.” Originally established in 1977, Flamingo Land is Yorkshire’s No. 1 attraction and the UK's most visited Zoo. The resort based in the Ryedale area of North Yorkshire is a popular holiday resort able to accommodate over 5000 people in a range of facilities including log cabins. Home of the steepest roller coaster in the world (Guinness World Records 2009), Flamingo Land invites all season ticket holders to celebrate the announcement by taking advantage of a 2 for 1 promotion available until the end of the 2015 season (1 November 2015). Following the kit reveal, supporters will see the new home strip in action at North Ferriby on Friday 17 July. http://www.hullcitytigers.com/news/...hirt-sponsor-2537302.aspx#exH3D7l8cSR2MEDI.99
Are people genuinely such snobs that they turn their nose up at a local (ish) attraction sponsoring the club? Do people really expect global corporations to be queueing up to sponsor us?
