Heard a rumour that it was the smallest possible reading you can have! Maybe he's had a £20 note in his mouth that's been used previously?
It's possible. Apparently cocaine is even in our drinking water now. It's still no excuse for him, as the rules state, testing positive is testing positive, if you can prove you took something unwittingly there are grounds to fight for a lesser sentence but it makes clear that responsibility for keeping away from any banned substances is purely in the players hands, no matter how they ingest it.
James Mooney said last night that the club wouldn't be doing anything at all, until disciplinary proceedings between Jake and the FA were concluded.
Yeah. I'm sure I read something about that recently but a quick google only throws up stuff from last year such as http://www.independent.co.uk/news/u...-our-drinking-water-report-shows-9350477.html Scary really, we trust the water that comes out of our taps but really we have no idea what's in it.
I have a feeling that Jake is going to contest this, it just seems a long time for them to announce it, I would have thought it's not normally a long process. More than meets the eye IMO or at least a lot more info than any of us know. Fingers crossed they find him innocent, 8m down the drain is not good and potentially a decent player for us especially in the Championship.
is there a chance that the initial readings on JL and the others were wrong/contaminated and any delay is about compo(or have i been on the sticky stuff!)
His only possible escape from a 2 year ban is if the first sample was minuscule & the b sample was negative? If you've had a few lines then it's gonna show up in the B surely? and he's guilty as charged.
Bruce's reaction after the news broke seemed to be genuine disappointment alongside shock, if Livemore had adamantly been denying the allegations I think Bruce would have reacted differently.
That's a route down which no-one wishes to travel. Can you imagine the owners reaction if it turns out Livermore was innocent and his suspension for the last 2 games turned out to be unnecessary ? An incorrect drug test that might have cost the Allams £50m ?
Maybe he's just been given a bit of time to sort his financial affair's out before the money's cut off, just know from experience that nothing move's fast once solicitor's are involved.
if it isnt performance enhancing, I don't see the problem. What he does in his free time is none of anyone's beeswax! http://www.teachpe.com/drugs/cocaine.php
I just heard on local BBC news here that Jose Baxter's case is being heard at the FA today, wonder if Livermore's might be heard?
Both the other players who were charged the same week have FA hearings today, so there's a reasonable chance that Livermore will also be there.
Indeed so. This does not appear to be a slam dunk case like some are suggesting. The outcome will be interesting for sure.
Could be the start of the plea bargain, you can have your name change if you don't sue us for the cocked up coke results.
Not seen it reported anywhere and even those who have had their hearings today don't expect to know the outcome until next week.
