Dear all:

1. the current sign up is 18 players

I have sent a reminder to only two players, the guy who asked to play last time and Funky who has not signed up. If there is anyone else please let them know or me know.

2. The set up will largely mirror swarbs set up.

this means:

a) General rules as posted: No changes. same night time, same order of actions

b)PMs. I will be publishing in the set up what each person gets as their PM. e.g. no role = TOWNIE

c) zombies will have no change. I will be doing i hope the same pm intermediary with infected.

d) Mafia will be changed. I've not fully decided yet. As a tweaked game I think the mafia will have no roles defined but have to agree their actions on their board. the intent of swarbs game was they could do each action night one therefore the same sort of actions will be possible. A kill, a recruit, a steal. I am not sure on the money side yet. they were the only team with this available. Not sure it is needed so some other means of earning kills has to be devised. I want the town to know when they do earn a kill

e) Serial killer. This will not be changed much. There was a little thing about how can a guy with a knife have a shoot out with anyone but The main intent was the SK cannot zombie hunt i think. The same protection will be in effect, if targetted by zombie they get a 50/50 chance of killing zombie. They will know who attacked them. same for mafia if attacked by mafia SK will know who attacked and have 50/50 shoot out.

f) shoot outs:
swarbs did it as follows: side attacking gets a 50/50 shot fist. side attacked gets 50/50 shot next. its possible to both walk away.. this happened to me and lucaaas last game. i will do so this way again

g) army: No changes unless someone suggests something strongly. we didn't see as a whole town how it would work. perhaps someone who was army saw something that needs fixing?

h) Masons: No change

i) cop: no change, not sure how the 50/50 on finding a zombie will work. Once there are 2/3 roaming it seems a bit risky to the game not to allow a bound to find one game. any thoughts?

j) hunter: no change needed. it worked well for me.

k) journalist: no power change: this invesitavie role is for mafia only but the paper will not be out at 9:30pm lie swarbs. It will be out at 10am next morning.

I was out walking (in training) all day yesterday and my phone battery was dead when I got home. Been doing some catching up with work today as I'm about a week behind at the minute.


Agree about the cop unless there is a chance of them being corrupted in some way? Maybe even recruited; aka become a dodgy cop

thinking right now of just amking it a no role mafia.

either no roles in mafia or mafia don gets beefed up. I don't mind which but need to work out how the mfia hits work as someone's got to die i nthe other roles in shoot outs.

 

It is known role for now.

Again if people can say now .. what it does do is give a route for info from cop recruit to come back to town.

 

The problem with no roles means no mafia is worth anything, so it means they are never forced to defend each other like Valley had to when the don was up for a coinflip

 

suppose that is ture as well.

choice is:

1. 3 mafia who work together to decide what to do. need to decide on info got in shoot outs and what happens if a role is attacked by mafia.

2. One imporved don, one hitman, one thief as before.
